Hey Austin thanks again your vids really help, just got my kit and have been workin on it, its tougher than I thought tryin to maneuver the swivel knife and tryin to move a bevel with my left hand, but loo like I said I appreciate your vids
@@jayplays568 thank you. As far as tooling goes you would just have to test your skills to see how small and legable you get. Id recomment a small blad swivel knife and some modeling tools. As far as stamps, the smallest i have were custom made and are absolutely tiny
You have a great eye for personalizing your work which makes it truly unique. Looking forward to more of your videos.
Thank you
These are great tips! It honestly never occurred to me to add to my lettering. Thanks!
Thank you for taking the time to share this . I know it will help me .
Couldn't help but admire your hat band! I will be making some of my, the idea never crossed my mind.

Awesome man. Yes the swivel knife does have some getting used to. Just takes practice. Thank you for the support
Love these tips. I personally would use the computer to design, and then transfer to leather.
Definitely gona use advice... thanks
Great video!
Thanks for this video. What would you say is the minimum size font you could tool into leather belts and wallets/cardholders?

It was water to case the leather soo that the stamp would make a crisp impresion
Awesome video helped alot with my stamps. What is the paper you are printing the fonts on
The paper is vellum paper. I get it from office depot. It prints really well for transfers
What are they called the tools you are using to do the big letters... I wanna do this on a guitar belt that im making but no clue where to buy them
They are letter stamps. You can get them at tandy leather, hobby lobby, or amazon. They are the 1" letters
After you cut the letters in what tool did you use to widen the cuts I’m new to this and got my first kit
Wondering the same
Did you use a template for the letters? I have tried to find some but havent been able to. I need to make letters like thiis 1 1/2 to 1 5/8
For the large letters i did. I found them for free on dafont.com
All yhe oyher letter stamps i bought from Tandy Leather or Hobby Lobby
I found that but can't open it after I download it

I had the same problem. It is a zip file so you need an app to unzip it.
It's so complicated for 36 characters.
Dont know anything about leatherwork, what is tool called that you’re using in 5:53. Thanks
Im using a beveler and striking it with a maul
Thank you so much! Great videos!
Where did you get your stamps from please
I got these from Tandy Leather but you can find them at most leather ships and Hobby Lobby
@@AttackLineLeather thanks bud 🤘🤘🤘
I need letters like that in 1 5/8 to 1 3/4
Can I ask what type of machine you are using to press letters into leather
No machine. The letters come with a metal handle that you affix to the stamp and hit it in with a mallet or maul to make the impression.
What's the name brand of those stamps and where do I get them at ...
Tandy Leather factory. You can find yhe at Tandy Leather and also at hobby lobby
What’s the beveler brand?
Craftool pro
Thanks a lot Austin, I’ve been watching your channel since I’ve started back in May and I’ve learned a lot from you. Appreciate the reply.
What kind of leather is that?
What tool is at 5:55. What size
That is a craftool pro B2043 beveler
Do you subscribe to the Leather Crafters & Saddlers Journal?
