Thank you so much for the demo! I really appreciate it-especially because I have an allergic reaction to resin and can’t use it; but I love the glossy finish. Good to know the second coat is definitely worth doing for best results!❤ Plus, I happen to have overbought the Liquitex pouring medium because I thought I might get into the “Pouring” crazy but soon abandoned it. Lots of product to use up!!
I dislike the brush-on varnish because if you get it on too thick, it clouds up and your piece is ruined. This can also happen if you apply it in high humidity. I have never had that issue with spray varnish.
This is so helpful and timely right now for me - thanks so much! I have just begun to collage on cradle board and have used a spray fixative but felt something more was needed for a final coat.
I just tried this and a lot of my images bubbles up! And though I used a foam brush the lines have not flattened … I am concerned for this very important project. any tips!?
@@EXCINC Did you wait for it to dry completely? It should flatten when dry. The first time I used it on a collage I panicked because the papers bubbled but it dried flat.

Resin is so labor intensive. This is so much easier. Let me know how it works out for you.
They look great, Susan! 😊
Thanks
Wow🤩 its brillant ,i dont think is really gorgeous. Good job👍
Thank you so much 😀
What a great finish!
Thanks. I also like how it seals the paper.
They both turned out great but the yellow one is super cool
Thanks. I think so too.

This dries clear. Never cloudy.
@@SusanCliftonArtist Does the “never cloudy” refer to the Liquitex Pouring Medium?

THANK YOU!
You're welcome!

@@SusanCliftonArtist oh thank you for that reassuring and promo response!… I am in a bit of a panic! What is the ideal drying time between coats?
@@EXCINC I usually do just one coat but I pour on a lot. I don't do think coats. But I would wait a day if I was doing two coats.
Where do you get that wonderful b/w inkjet words background you use in several collage artwork?
Do you mean the part inside the circle? That is fabric mosaic. I print the fabric using a printed fabric for Ink Jet printers.
@@SusanCliftonArtistthat’s awesome
Are these products all a fixative? And then there will be a varnish also?
I sprayed just the inkjet printed paper with the fixative. After the collage was finished I sealed it with GAC 200 (good only for wood). Then varnish.
