We go to Belize every year and I LOVE IT!!! It is just so beautiful. There is a way to avoid carb overload though... Just grilled chicken or fish for dinner with a side salad or steamed veggies! Easy! Fruit plates for breakfast, ceviche for lunch, just go easy on the corn chips. I will do fry-jacks or pupusas on the weekends though! My special treat. I stay away from rice and beans as much as possible, they are delicious and I love them but I only eat them if I am invited out and it is served to be respectful of my hosts. Then I scarf it down! They dont slather their food in oil or butter either so that is a big plus! And I eat the hell out of marie sharp's! Give me a plate of grilled wings and some Marie Sharp's and I am HAPPY!

Hi! I’m not really familiar with parks in Belize being 15-25 acres in Belize. In fact, we’re not real big on parks in Belize. You can work as long as you apply for a work permit. I’d contact a lawyer to assist with that.
Belize City was the only place in the world I felt unsafe in broad daylight. Spent a lot of time in Belize years ago and all the local expats were leaving because of high crime, some of it violent. The government wasn't effective keeping offenders in jail.

10 year expat living in San Pedro. The pro's and con's are specific to each district. Here in San Pedro (Ambergris Caye) the pro's are: The only English-speaking country in Latin America. Two-to-one dollar exchange peg. I have fiber-optic Internet service. Cell service is solid. No fast food is a plus but you can get some outrageously good hamburgers and fries at many places. Street vendors everywhere selling vegetables and fruit so you can eat as clean as you desire. Lately we've had Supermarkets springing up (or upgrading) that offer American-style grocery experience. There are plenty of hardware stores (but quality is mostly lacking). Hospitals are also developing and improving here. If you are able to work here for American-based income you can get a significant tax break. Cons: Seasonal sargasum (floating sea weed) is fouling the beaches all over the Caribbean. Mosquitoes, sand fleas, and sea lice can get rather thick at times. There is also a seasonal tide that floods the lower lying areas every year. American goods are much more expensive. Recent road improvements here paradoxically made traveling MORE dangerous because of speeding, reckless maneuvers, and lax traffic enforcement. The heat and humidity in the Summer months can leave you exhausted even with the slightest activity. Air conditioning can get really expensive depending on use and how much of the house you are cooling. The electrical grid has numerous outages and the water pressure during peak tourist season is nearly non-existent.

I lived there and loved it, if it wasn’t for Covid I would still be down there. Oh and if you want stuff you need to go to the Free Zone between Belize and Mexico
Can you explain what that is. Google wasn't very helpful.
@ Freezone is an area between Belize and Mexico where you can go shopping, brand name clothes, cosmetics, restaurants/sports bars, night clubs, casinos and things of that nature.
But its just for relax in belize mostly
Yesss it’s so laid back
No fast yes but making tortilla of fryjack with cheap oil in Belize can be even or worst
Thank you My name is John I'm from the US unfortunately I live in cay caulker now for almost 3 years I love it of all my family is deceased I don't have anyone to go back to or anywhere and notice I have to go either way My only problem is even though I do miss some fast food sometimes that that's not really a problem there's plenty of good food here My only problem is when I got here I could still walk in about a year and a half ago I started having trouble walking in now I'm in the wheelchair I bought a nice three-wheeled scooter it was really expensive it was great and then my battery is melted because it was supposed to shut up but they overcharged it's $550 US to replace them and then I have to wait for them to be delivered and then hope that they're the right batteries so I've been kind of stuck in the house I have a wheelchair but it's a piece of junk but that's a that's my biggest issue so I'm happy here let all the people that want to go back to the US go back goodbye I wouldn't have it any other way thank you sis I'm not wealthy or I would try to buy a house from you
When I die they can just kick me out and throw me on the other side of the reef and I'll be fine yeah❤❤❤

.Exactly correct.
"No Shopping Malls...means MORE MONEY to save" And MORE MONEY to INVEST in MORE REAL ESTATE. 🤓
Agreed!
Best reasons TO move there!
as long as there's a gym near I'm happy to move to Belize
poor girl thinks that no malls, no fast food chains, limited regulations, slow pace etc are reasons not to move to Belize...
Or great reasons to move. It depends on you as a person and what you value
Who said she thinks like that .. she saw alot of People come and go and she wants to show people the reasons why ..
Great video
Kinda negative about your home country. What about the warm welcoming culture and fantastic fish. You left out quite alot.😢
I love my home country. These have been reasons why foreigners choose to return to theirs
healthcare in Belize is awesome better than Canada
