So technically it's impossible for red rooms to exist, it's easy to believe such urban legends and hoaxes because we fear but I am an engineer and have some technical knowledge on networking and have used TOR so speaking from this pov

Dark Web sellers don't take any information expect for the shipping address. And govt could only track dark web users through purchases and if you are using bit coin then its impossible to track you.
@@prnvsgr as per user are buying and because it's cheap and easy to buy and i got your question as the sites are encrypted as its between the user {who is buying }and seller {seller one} and as client never give there perfect home address or anything as many things can happen so client usually give a random address from their locality ... and as per identity they never provide such really identity and as per people only btc is accepted not like they can pay with usd too and as {if i want to buy a gun , adresss different , name different never match with address or house , location list of proxies hard to catch , and payment from a anyones credit card or cloned credit cards

1. Use Linux OS.
2. You should have a system with a big RAM and storage to setup a Virtual Machine. Use Virtual Machine inside a Virtual Machine to protect yourself.
3. Should have an insane internet speed. 4G speeds feel like 3G speed while surfing dark web.
4. Cover your webcam and disable audio permission and mic.
5. Never ever give your personal information.

As most of the public links are either closed or banned and majority of the links are invite basis, so if anybody even want to misuse they need a lot of luck to get the invite to private links.

And you leaking your IP is actually quite hard, TOR goes through 3 relay, 3 random computers in the world who actually like a VPN/Proxy. Your IP is never shared. Only the relay with end port may see your traffic (less chance) , also if you are dumb enough to download random shit from there then God knows why won't things happen to you. To be safe get a USB stick download Tails OS on it and use TOR. Just don't be stupid also you don't have to use VPN with it. Once you go this way it's so fricking deep and good..
