  • In this footage Ham shows you the traces he makes and uses when using his bait cannon.
    They go out good and most of all don't break the rig or have the sinker fly off with out the trace.

    It's taken me a few years to sort this out and is pretty much the same as your rig except I have a running clip to attach the traces to so I can pre bait & freeze them. I found the less hardware down the barrel the better.
    The biggest challenge for me still is to have a bait left on the hook at 200 meters.

      @@hamandtysfishingadventures9685 just one more question regarding your trace and weight do you use mono only or is braid okay? I have a 1m 40mm barrel and 1m x 50mm chamber. I get the chamber up to 120psi is 100lb and 80lb strength still okay for that dimensions? Cheers
