I think it's because he don't want to show his face while doing this part(because it looks maybe weird for him) or it's just a habit
bfS2angel it is a normal habit when you were about to hit a high note. ^^ i am a soprano and this is also one of my techniques to hit high notes or falsettos aside from tipping my toes. ^^

1: he may not like the way his face looks when he does it.
2: its probably best, safety wise, because why would u high pitch dead straight into a microphone ._.

+Tinika Anderson whenever i am recording any high notes my head turns to the right but thats how i can hit those notes the best (even tho i can't xD) but it's more easy. Maybe thats why? and also why should he scream straight into the cam? so i feel your options aren't absurd at all and makes sense

It felt like the highest note that I've seen a boy group member done, and it just adds to the ethereal effect of Let Me Know. I fell in love with it at the first listen, and I died at that part because it sounded so perfect! I couldn't reach the high note either, and it took a long while, but I still sound like a strangled animal when I do it lol.

Highest note is Changmin Tvxq after Jimin and then Daehyun of B.A.P in my opinion
tenin Doukansy While that is true, and I definitely agree because I Changmin's my DBSK bias ouo and I noticed BAP's Badman because of Daehyun's vocals, they hold those high notes very strongly, very consistently, with a buildup.... and then Bam Pow! It's full on whack.
But with Jimin's, at least in this song, suddenly goes from the singing range of "Girl let me, Girl let me" to suddenly like a jump straight to the high note, I liked that. It adds a falling kind of feeling to the song. And maybe that's why I felt like it was challenging to practice.
But don't get me wrong. Those two, and of course so many other vocalists who have rockstar-like vocals like Jonghyun from SHINee, are known for long high notes and screams. But I feel that a lighter, more fragile and softer ad lib suits this heartbreaking song

+장미차 Okay guys let me set this straight. The top of Jimin's range is this note, A5. The top of Changmin's range is G5. The top of Daehyun's range is C#6. The highest range in TVXQ is Jaejoong, at D6. So it goes Jaejoong, Daehyun, Jimin, Changmin.
As much as Jimin turning left is an adorable quirk, it's a bad sign that he's straining his voice and dropping proper technique to reach that high. If you want to sign high, don't do that lol. You should be relaxed.

As a vocal teacher, I can tell you that when he turns/bends down like that, it's actually a technique to help his voice reach those high notes. Obviously it's going to be a strain, it's a strain for ANYONE to get that high, even for people like Ariana Grande and Adele, but to make it LESS of a strain, singers use techniques like turning to the side or bending down. Queen Kong No no. I'm just talking about Daehyun's high notes in general. If you would look up Daehyun singing IU's good day. You could see him go up 8 octaves. Maybe I'm just bias, but I find Daehyun's high note higher. I'm not a specialist or anything.

I think he may turn his face the same reason Luhan did in EXO Showtime when they had that competition on who can hold the note the longest. Basically, so he wouldn't look ' ugly ' ( though let's be real Jimin couldn't look ugly even if he tried )
I really hope they get a vocal coach so they can actually have a proper technique and not damage their vocal folds :/ especially Jimin.

Every idol has vocal coaches, don't worry.. that's part of their training.. and routines..

he hits high notes.. what more do you want .. hitting high notes in itself is a very very big accomplishment, and is never, i repeat never easy.. he sounds the same cause voices don't change even if you practice.. only singing improves and he sings amazingly according to me, don't believe me, try hitting that high note yourself.. give him some credit.. hitting high notes requires all of your breath and that's why singers bend or turn left or right .. it's just part of it.. it doesn't mean something's wrong with jimin.. or his singing.. or his training.. it's just the way it is.. don't read too much into it and enjoy this amazing being that is jimin :)
What i want is for him to not destroy his vocal cords while he does those high notes, it's okay if you support him and want to defend him, i'm not hating on him at all, on the contrary what i want is for him to have a healthy technique, which he doesn't have, and to actually sing without any risk of losing his range, he was shallow support, overly throaty and airy mix and improper placement that means he's basically yelling those "high notes", you want to see healthy effortless singing? watch Kuyhyun, Ryeowook, Baekhyun, Ailee, Luna, Naul, sandeul, they apart from "being able to reach high notes", can sing with proper technique without hurting themselves in the process, and yes voice can change, not tone, but quality, if it makes you feel better V is actually the vocalist with the better technique vocal wise of all BTS' vocal line, and i don't see anyone praising his vocals, hitting high notes isn't everything that at least an average vocalist is supposed to do.

did anyone notice jungkook's extremely strong and stable low note while jimin sings the high note? of course jimin needs a lot of skill and range to do this but jungkook was so consistent and it's amazing how much skill an 18 year old has. he's mastered skills a lot of singers haven't even after years of debut and that in itself is enough to love kookie. i have to say, bts are made for each other and they make up for each other's flaws, if you can find any ;)

I love Jimin for his handsome appereance and his charming character, but then...there's Yoongi, who's freakin adorable and handsome, too. And he has such a cool character and a dream - like rapper-voice!
And after that, there's V who I love for his freaky character ('cuz I'm almost that freaky myself xD), plus his absolutely adorable smile and his good looking AND his goddamn hot voice (specially in War of hormone and spine breaker).

It is sweet, smooth, cool, expressive which is why stunningly attractive, captivating/mesmerising, stuck in your head n unforgettable that fascinates listeners (very distinctive voice that pops out among other vocalists).

I'm genuinely happy that they didn't sing this song more than 4 times. Lil heads up, Jimin is technically not SINGING that note. It's somewhere BETWEEN a scream and an actual note that you sing. If he tried to hit a note like that now, it could be detrimental to his vocal chords and while he does have a very high range, he shouldn't push himself to sing that high. o.o
***** they've been a lot better during this come back. I think it's because they're all so much happier than they were during HYYH era. The beginning of 2016 was a time where some of them were dealing with insecurities (Jimin) and depression (Rap Monster) and even J-Hope mentioned briefly that he was feeling a bit down. If even one member is sad or down it effects all of them. Their voices are so much better and clearer now. Jimin's happy with his body and is eating more and Rap Monster is in a happy place so they're all performing better because of it :3
