I think he's wrong on this one. I reckon ghosts disguise themselves as stepladders during the day. I have no evidence for this but I'm 100% sure about it. Have you ever noticed that when someone dies, a new stepladder appears as if from nowhere? I know that correlation is not causation but surely this is beyond coincidence. When my 95 year old neighbour died inexplicably after falling down the stairs while changing a lighbulb on the landing, I couldn't help noticing a pair of stepladders had miraculously appeared on top of his outstretched body, still clinging onto the lightbulb, which luckilly hadn't broken, unlike his neck. I tested the bulb in his kitchen and was delighted it still worked. It was a rare 100 watt Phillips brand mushroom lamp, the bayonet cap type with frosted glass, so no glare. He must have been treasuring it since the 80's cause you can't buy them any more. Anyway, I took the ladders round to my house because I figured he wouldn't be needing them any more and that was when I realised he didn't even own a pair of stepladders and these ones must have materialised the moment he died so this must be his ghost. That was when I came up with my new theory and ditched my old theory that ghosts disguised themselves as lawnmowers. That theory always had a number of flaws as Brian Cox pointed out when I wrote to him about it. I didn't know it was a relatively recent invention but step ladders have always existed otherwise they wouldn't have been able to build the pyramids or Nelson's Column. Don;t take my word for it though - Do your own research. Count how many dead people there are and how many step ladders there are then draw a graph with dead people on the x axis and stepladders on the y axis and I bet it's a straight line. It's better than that Monty Python theory that dinosaurs are thin at one end, fat in the middle and thin at the other end.
