This was really insightful. I’m an undergraduate biochem student and trying to decide what my plans will be once I graduate in 3 semesters! Thanks for sharing your journey!
Good luck ☺️
Thank you so much for your videos ! I’m on my path for bio Chem as well 💞 can’t wait
Good luck!! Glad you like my videos✨❤️
Great video!
Do you know which positions/career paths you’re interested in after your PhD is completed? Thank you, your videos are useful!
Hi Sharon! I’m so glad you are enjoying my videos. I’m not exactly sure yet, but I would love to teach one day!
do you think there’s really any reason to get a PhD if you’re not interested in teaching? I’m really conflicted about what to do after finishing my undergrad next year
Hi! So there are plenty of job opportunities after your PhD that don’t involve teaching! You can work in the industry, and even if you do academia you may not have to teach a lot depending on what institution you are at. Hope this helps!
Industry is where it's at!
I am 100% planning to sell my soul to big pharma after a postdoc.
Tbh I'd say it's the opposite. BS is a waste. If you go chem you almost HAVE to go MS and or PhD... BS is some BS 😂😂
@@triple_gem_shiningwhat do you mean by Biomed Sc Is a waste?
I would hate working for someone unless I was paid money!
We are paid a stipend
Phd for playing around with ideas
I’m really demotivated. I came from a background of medical laboratory science degree with a first class and I wrote to more than 200 supervisors but yet I couldn’t secure a position 🥹
You got this! I suggest talking to someone who has been through the process before or a recruiter to look over your resume. Sometimes it helps to have fresh eyes on your resume/cv!
