I really like the background music 🎶

Thank you. I've eliminated music in later videos because it was a little intrusive at times... 🤔

This probably needed a second row working without increasing after the increases to see the final effect of each 'method' on the fabric. Thankyou very much for this video. I was going crazy trying to make skirts for my girls the 'traditional' way... It's so sad when techniques and culture in general die out...

Thank you! I always try to put as much information in the shortest possible time, so as not to have too long videos. Tunisian crochet is becoming quite "trendy" again and, also thanks to the many talented crafters out there, it has acquired a new fresh and modern look. So I think it will never die. 😊

@@HookloopsarahCrochet Thanks to people like you it is developing and being easily learned by the thousands nowadays. That definitely is awesome... Thankyou for your great mood, it killed all my melancholy. Also, do you know any Tunisian stitch that worked in two colours could look like a field of flowers? I wanted to accent the skirts with the traditional stripes near the hem with something like that, but a pattern with too symmetrical rows won't do. Do you have any suggestions?

@@escaramujo Thank you, that's so kind of you!
If you want to add something "floral" to your skirts you could either try the Tunisian Star Stitch or Fan Stitch. Otherwise, if you search here on RUclips for "Tunisian strawberry", you can can find a lovely design by Naztazia.com: I haven't tried it yet, but it looks really cute. 😊
I'd love to see pictures of the skirt when it's finished! Please tag me if you post on Instagram or wherever. 😊

Thank you for the video! Do these increases work for any type of Tunisian stitch?

Mostly, but it depends on the stitch you are using. For Brioche Tunisian I usually use "back bump increases", for example. :)
