Literally hit balls right after this drill- with this visual of main swing key of right hip turning back (as left knee pointing at ball) in backswing & left hip turning back in downswing (as right knee pointing at ball) has this has transformed my golf swing into pure contact with a powerful, effortless, repeatable motion throughout the entire bag! Thank you Big M!!

Yeah, I just discovered this recently. Holding my trail hip back allows my arms to swing through easily. I am now starting the downswing with the arms (actually a slight pulling down which must drop the club into the slot) and letting the wrists release naturally. I'm getting greater distance, accuracy, and lower ball flight. Loose hands and wrists, ful wrist cock, and focus on bottom of swing arc being 3-4 inches ahead of the ball. At 65 I'm hitting the ball better than ever.

Been following this channel for many years. Finally glad to see you addressing your backswing, the whole doesn’t matter what you do on the way back is a fallacy. It doesn’t matter what pros do on the way back. It matters for us.

Hi again Brendan, dropping that left foot back made the young fella Mike look like he was preloaded & ready to fire through and smash that ball, well thats what it look like on the forward facing camera angles . . more please, honestly I like these ones better than all the gadget video's.

Hmm, co-incidentally, last month I stepped my left foot back instead of normal stance and I hit great shots. I guess my hip open a little bit and easier for it to turn left, then club falls into the slot. Now, I hit irons so much better, longer and more accurate. Just my two cents!

Brendon, I know you did a podcast with Marcus Bell of Zen Golf Mechanic. I'd sure like to see you go to Britain to visit him for a lesson. His foot drills are excellent to stop focusing on arms and hip movements. Pressures in the feet are the key to a effective consistent golf swing.

I spent a few hours experimenting with this drill because at first blush it looked very promising.
    I believe it's wrong now.
    It's left foot back first!
And I can prove it by pressure plate data.
    Experiment with it.
I think there is something very profound in this discovery.

Interesting and a good concept. But for me too complicated and actually requires more timing and coordination than an actual golf swing. Ill pass.
