You reminded me of the "old days" when there was just a few on youtube talking about fragrances, with only the passion of this hobbie in their hearts. Things have changed, for good and bad like eveything in the world, I must say most of the people I followed at the time I no longer do, you're an exeption mainly due the fact it's clear the passion for this hobbie it's still very much present in your heart. What a lovely gift, very generous of Adam or doing this. I've tried russian oud 2 and it's gorgeous!

I agree regarding how things have changed on youtube when it comes to talking about fragrances - sadly it's gone down the commerical/sponsored route where newbie's are pushing trash fragrances for clicks/views and gaining monetary via affiliate links. Sadly even a few of my favourite oldie reviewers have gone down the influencer route, as it generates more clicks and the YT algorithm supports this type of content.
Sadly, the result being many of the hobbiest/passion led channel see a massive decline in impressions/views from say 7-10 years ago for the same content they release today. Many of the viewers of this type of content are also put off watching reviews on youtube (save for a few of their favourite channels) which also contributes to the decline in views. This snowballs into less and less of passion/hobbiest fragrance reviewing on youtube, with new generation of reviewers also following the influencer route, trying to be the next 'Jeremy Fragrance' rather than the next 'Robes08' so to speak.
There are still a number of channels which cater to the hobbiest/passion audience, and as long as these carry on - hopefully there will be a brighter future for talking about fragrances on YT, maybe there will be a split community between influencers and hobbiest/passion fragcomm on YT.
Now about fragrances! Yes you're totally right, Russain Oud II is gorgeous, it was my scent of the day on Eid - it's a stunner!

@@HandsomeSmellsNice mA...funnily enough it was my sotd yesterday where I only sprayed once on the back of my hand whilst we did a last min shop to Asda. On our way out, the wind had picked up a little and we walked past this muslim couple before reaching the car.As i got in, we both were like, did you just smell that, its soo goood. I thought we were talking about the couple but my wife was like no its you. Lo and behold, wife and me smelled the back of my hand and confirmed it was the russian oud 2..Caramelised chocolatey oudddness 😂!!
It reinforced my belief, that oud of a certain kind just smells so much better in the cold than the heat.

Assalamu Alaikum, I have the option of buying OE4 or RO2. I love Oud, so I feel like RO2 would be the go to but I know OE4 by the sound of it is also very pleasant. How is the projection and sillage on RO2 after giving it a full wearing, and does the cocoa fade away after the opening, and which of the two options would you say is the most masculine? Walaykum Salaam, sorry for the delayed response. Of the two I think you should go with Russain Oud 2, you enjoy oud so it's a no brainier, the cocoa last throughout the scent on my skin into the drydown, it's the most prominent note, lovely cocao choclatey oud. Performance wise, projection and sillage are fairly similar for both, they both last like 18 hours, projection is moderate not beastly on my skin, but decent scent bubble.

Walaykum salaam. On my skin, it's beastly longevity, around 18 hours, projection is in the good/moderate range.
@@HandsomeSmells Great. Is there another fragrance that is similar to SM that you have tried? People are asking for almost double the original retail price for SM and it’s a little too much.
@@obaidah.8230 I've not tried anything similar i'm afraid. Personally don't overspend, I'm sure Russain Adam will release something musk related in a future release
