Good Video, nice scenery! We brought our boat down from the Great Lakes to Georgia in order to have a longer sailing season, as well as access to the Bahamas.. The season is just to short up north!

You can't go wrong with the Bahamas! We will be chasing warmer weather next year!

Hi Guys. Started watching today and I'm enjoying the show. Love the new boat. My dream. Only criticism is that the music is a lot loader than the monologue. All the best.

Hey Wolf, thanks for the constructive criticism, I have been testing out different software and was wondering how the volume would come out. I hope to make better and better videos so I do appreciate your feedback! Keep it coming and thanks for watching!!

@@svstellaj1530 it was great except that you had to adjust volume up for dialog and down when music was playing

Hi Guys, My fiancé' and I are in the loooong process of following our dream similar to yours and shopping for the right boat. I can only imagine that you went through the same process of looking for a boat. We keep coming back to the Island Packet 38 for our liveaboard dreams. We hope to buy this coming spring. My question is what is it about the Island Packet 38 that you two like? Our other two boats that we like are the Catalina 400 and the Beneteau 423. They all seem to be in the same price range but there is something about the IP38 that I love. I'd love to hear why you both chose the IP38 so we can hopefully tip the scales and concentrate on that one boat for our search. Just started watching and subscribed so there may be other videos of yours that cover this. Enjoy your dream and maybe we can get together some day. We live in Washougal WA., which you can sail to by the way, and just came back from a boat shopping trip to Anacortes this past weekend. Have a great day!!

    James,
Looking for some insight on reefing, are you also set up with four reefing lines or do you have the original system with some type of car in the boom?

Hello Dan! Our reefing is set up with on line leading aft for each reef point. Inside the boom, there is some mechanical wizardry where the the tack and clew lines join inside and lead out to one line. So there are 2 lines total leading to the cockpit, reef 1 and reef 2. I'll be honest, we haven't tried out our reefing yet, haven't needed to, but it seems to be a real sweet set up.

Thanks for the responce. Our setup has been changed, we have four reefing lines running back to the cockpit. Seems to work alright but I'm not convinced I have it strung right. Hoping to run across someone with the same setup to check how I have the clew lines run.
Our spinnaker setup is a bit different than yours also. The spinnaker sheets have their own blocks far back near the transom then turn a 180 back up to the big winches.
Great video and great job of flying your drifter.

@@montanadan2524 the 2 to 1 in boom reef setup is really sweet but if I needed to change out the reef lines, I am not sure how to do it. That is probably what one owner of your boat went through. As for your spinnaker setup, I may try running my lines more aft as you mentioned, I see how that may benefit. Thanks Dan:)
