Great video. I used to live near a mainline in Durban as a kid. For sometime it was evening routine to go down to the track and watch the Transnatal go by on its way to JHB.

Hi Wayne. Can i help u with this one about wagon behind loco. Its caused by a bad skidded wheel. (Drivers call it a flat wheel sometimes) .Thnx for bfull mainline videos. Worked there for many years. Train driver on pension.

The 3kv dc substations must be capable of delivering at least 15MW. Good

Wow Wayne, beautiful shots and excellent photography work. 18E's are my favourite after the 6E1 locos with that howling blower motor. Love your videos. Thanks for sharing with us 😉

Wayne, Don't know if you able to get a sneak peek at the new locomotives that was build for SpoorNet back in 2016, the new Class 44-000 , GE ES40ACi models ,there's quite a few up in Mpumalanga not to sure about Western Cape though ?

Hi Marius, unfortunately, none of the newer generation locomotives work in the Western Cape. The only exception being the Saldanha that use the 43 and 15E. Thanks for Watching.
