It is weird isn't it but it is true. I love embracing my childish side. I laugh at kid's shows, old kids shows I grew up with, The Simpsons, any cartoons, anything childish and full of wonder and imagination. I actually wanted to have kids from the youngest age as I love their nativity and innocence. I find a lot of intellectual people secretly have a very childish level subconscious (just some expose it more than others). I always laugh at stupid things and have an immature sense of humour because I think life is so mundane I love to just make it a joke. It's like Picasso said "It took me till my teens to draw like Michelangelo but my lifetime to draw like a child".
It's almost like we know the happiest period of the human life is that of a child. A period of unknowing and excitement. Energy and imagination so we want to emulate this. Most stuff for kids is always exceptionally positive and happy so it's almost like we are trying to go back to these safer times hence want to relive them. Then, as you get older, adult life is preconditioned to be bleak, no fun, no imagination etc.
This is why I think it is imperative we do learn from our children. Not intellectually, necessarily but their outlook and approach on life. This is what we want continued throughout their lives. It's interesting to try to understand where this creativity and tenacity burns out (at school, work or human nature); it is odd. It's like children are cute and happy to get their parents to care for them but then we may all be secretly instinctively going to become less so.

I feel younger with age. As a teen I I had to keep myself small and sad to not make anybody uncomfortable.
When I expressed joy people were getting tensed and showing me my place. I am finally finding the personality I repressed bc it was "too much" for some. I feel like young teen cause I am only figuring out how to be myself and not buy anybody bs. No longer carrying the heavy burden of pleasing everyone around me.

We have the perfect recepie for this. I think that all begins from the sigma mentality. Being able to keep yourself out of hierarchy and out of the mainstream, that's the biggest secret. Mainstream isn't mant for you. It isn't made by you and for you and it's not ment for you. Mainstream is what keeps you limited, but Ni works by perspectives and possibilities. If it is a question that explains one of the key characteristics of Ni it's why and I will answer why not. You cannot get happy, younger and fulfiled if you are limiting your self in norms that are not made for you and can't fit to you. Money, fame, popularity, we don't care for them, they mean nothing to us without we knowing what we really want and what we are really good at. I don't build my self on promotions, I build my self on actions and objectives. As I look into some people I get terrified of how they are limiting themselfs in popular beliefes and emotional ignorance. We have to think more often of what we leave behind us. It's not about being №1 in the hierarchy, having last model Mercedes, profitable business and all the material good's you can imagine. You wont be rememberd for your money, car and fame, you will be remembered for your love and devotedness and in order to achive those you have to build your selfawareness first.

I've always done so I've been told I'm a walking musical. I've come to the realization that there is an outlook many in society seem to have concerning having this kind of childlike joy in life. As a child it's acceptable, as a teen it's become a given, if your a mother or someone taking care of children this too can be acceptable concidering there are children around. Yet for some odd reason once a person gets to adult stage if there no children there is this ridiculous idea that one must be drunk, high on drugs or crazy.... apparently adults cannot have true joy an enjoy simple life simply unless one of those factors applies.🤦. It's Not true.
It simply isn't as common in a society that seems to push negativity in one way or another.
I've always kept this free spirited childlike joy an appreciation of little things. We mature an grow yet we should not neglect our inner child.

    • @erinak7008
      @erinak7008 Год назад +8

@@liaduriez9531 sorry you’re going through this girl but you’ll come out of it stronger! the last thing we want as infjs is to grow old and realize that we lived our lives and spent our years months even days planning, overthinking, and daydreaming of the future and what could be without ever stopping to enjoy the present live in the moment or take the time time to act and not just dream. With doing shadow work I didn’t have a set of steps planned out it happened because I was in a rut and decided to find out why I felt so empty. That’s how I found I was a INJF and looking into it I saw that I was low on Se. And that was the one thing that infj youtuber I watched explained that resonated with me because I always saw it myself staying away from people as being cautious and unproblematic but truth is I was very scared to live unapologetically and I was crushed by people’s expectations and views of me. I slowly stopped attending social events I only went out for groceries. I stopped taking care of my body my diet was bad I stayed home all day not doing anything while I had things on my todo list pile up. I always said id get to it and never did because I was stuck in a rut and a rabbit hole of self doubt. The first step to getting out is knowing that you are an infj and understanding how Se and Si work. Identify what times of your life you kept to yourself because you wanted to minimize interaction with the outside world because you’re in a bad mood or dont want to deal with something out there. Once that’s done you will slowly start to notice the times of your life where you kept to yourself for the right reasons because you wanted to work on a project, because you wanted some you time, because you wanted to spend your energy on something that brought you joy. If you don’t notice that You will at least notice the unhealthy patterns (we’re good at that lol) in your life and in your interactions with others. Especially those who are toxic, or emotionally abusive around you, there will be more friction between you and them and you will be more sensitive to the things they do that are “violating “ to you be it violating meaning they abuse you emotionally or violating meaning they pour their trauma on you. You will realize even your patterns of enabling these people by not saying anything or consoling them when you know its not your job to. To increase Se you will have to get away or at least keep a distance from these people who drain you and figure out where your boundaries have been crossed. Get awareness of your own triggers and trauma and work on healing you could be stuck running away from your emotions and past. You are not a well that constantly pours out you have to understand that in order to help others you have to be your best self to begin with. If you are empty, drained, low on energy you wont be able to help anyone not even yourself. The way you get energy as an infj is by doing those thing that bring you joy as well as things you have on your todo list. You’re probably in a rut rn because you have thoughts and feelings of not being good enough to accomplish the goals you have in mind. And because you dont think your person is able to achieve it you resolve to dreaming of it without ever actually taking action. Or you started taking action but you feel discouraged easily because the road is long and you have a hard time seeing the good things on the way to the destination. You only focus on the destination, the final product. It takes a lot to get up and do the same boring things everyday without seeing progress and thats what us infj are not good that. Se. doing the things you know you have to do at the time it needs to be done so that the feeling of not showing up for yourself or trusting your word does not surface. Declutter, in every area of your life if you have friends and family you lost touch with that u Miss contact them, if you have hobbies that you use to do as a child or any age for me it was sketching clothes and sewing. I had not done that in almost ten years doing it again recently gave me a surge of energy and mande me happier. If you have being wanting to make changes to your diet do it, if you’ve been wanting to take yourself out more do it whether or not you have a friend to go it. The key is to do those things that you constantly tell yourself you will do but never get to it. Be it in your career, relationships, social life, mental heath, or even leisure, start to do those things you can start with getting one thing off your todo list done. if you are stuck in a pattern to constant self gratification to avoid dealing with your everyday life you can try to start by planning your days, and each day in the morning you knock out two of the most important things you have to do that day. The afternoons and evenings you can use to relax and indulge in your hobbies, get acquainted with them again (the ones youve forgotten). Slowly you will get your mind used to the pattern of doing something serious and doing something for fun. I promise you once you start working on yourself and your goals in reality your mood and view if things around you and of you will change and you will feel more accomplished and self assured. The importance of Se and taking action as an infj is not that you get to not feel like you can’t believe in yourself anymore (its a reason) it’s that taking action is what fuels you to take even more action everyday. It gives you a “surge” of energy knowing that you have a vision and are working on it while also being the most authentic and best version of yourself. Even when it comes to relationships and friendships once you know that it is okay to feel different and think differently from everyone and you are doing your best to advance (thats it do something little everyday) every department of your life and being unapologetic you you will feel way more secure in your ability to get that career and the partner you desire. You can be a blessing to someone out there if only you would give 100% of Lia to the world in every area of your life and might I say dare to impose yourself unapologetically. Hope this helps!

Innovative, creative, and always excited about new ideas. As getting mature as an INFJ I feel younger in my soul too. It is fun to be INFJ once you learn how to handle it. Until that it was like a punishment, a curse. Good luck ;)

Thank you Wenzes! Personal development is ongoing. It’s fun too! My door gets locked at 500pm and phone calls stop. I give energy to family and hobbies. I must say recliners should come with warning labels. Sitting in recliners slows the body down. I need my old body to keep up with my 19 year old mind. I go on my own. It’s a hoot. Less responsibility is wonderful. I have to declutter too. It will get done. Do three extra things a day.

I very much liked when you stated that the INFJ (and yes I am a flaming INFJ myself, for better or for worse) needs to attend to their own needs in order the recover the energy lost from empathizing with other people's pain. I would have perhaps stated this important insight in such a way that a typical INFJ would be that much more motivated to pursue it: you, as an INFJ, cannot be a good and effective friend and caregiver to someone else going through pain unless you take care of your *own* needs first. It is a lesson that has taken most of my life to learn and even then I still sometimes have to remind myself to do this.

I truly am the epitome of this youthful progression at this time in my life. I get younger in all ways - looks, energy, playfulness, etc - finding a space to share all my lifetime of lessons learned so others can benefit from all my wisdom that I have garnered over my lifetime and being super excited to share it. I was told I was too mature when I was younger and now that I am older, it's a tiny bit more acceptable but still, many ppl find themselves jealous of my having a young heart and an old soul b/c most ppl have the opposite - an old jaded heart and a young baby soul where they live as hipsters chasing the latest trends to be enslaved to.
Indie INFJ's don't follow - we lead and also why we're so hated by so many ppl. You have to rise above all that hate though and just do you. As an empath, I got too involved w/ trying to help others - esp mentally ill ppl in my own family. However, I esp had to learn and have learned how to go NO CONTACT w/ narcs and that is a specialty we types know how to navigate b/c we have to run away from all the envious haters and abusers who hate our independence b/c most ppl want to control us BUT we are good runners - always running from controllers. We are skilled and clever at dodging the bullets and the narcs, immature hipsters and tyrants hate us more than they hate anyone else b/c of this!

But just as you say in your video, I’ve started to focus on myself more and honour my boundaries in everything.

Turns out the overly rigorous method worked and was received well. They also let loose some baggage and it was all very unencumbering. One of them turned out to also be an INFJ. I have often been told that I look and act younger than my age - and I say that it's in the genes - 🙂 both of my parents had a great sense of humor and always managed to have a contemporary outlook on life.
I can vouch for the effectiveness of all five of these steps. But the ones that stood out the most to me were number two, which is looking into extroverted sensing, and number five, optimizing extroverted sensing. I learned a lot about extroverted sensing from watching my mother in action. However, in keeping with what you shared in this video, I have had to make it fit me as an introvert in general and an INFJ in particular. For her was her primary function and for me of course it's the auxiliary. We definitely have to use extroverted sensing in a way that fits us.
I work with a lot of young people and I found that it does keep me younger - it keeps me in touch with how they look, and act and feel. But extroverted sensing also helps pull me out of myself and focus on the others. I heard you loud and clear about being careful of how we do it because since it's not our primary function we have to shape and work with it to fit with our general personality type, which is more laid back. You have some good ideas of how to stay young at heart.

The title of this one caught my attention immediately. Knowledge, discernment and wisdom (also known as spiritual gifts) enriches your life as much as any amount of wealth you attain in your working years. And that makes for a much younger altitude. Yes, altitude. Finally....as I've gotten older and done with work, I can look back and realize fully how unfulfilled some folks were in their job. They weren't suited for it. The old adage is...be careful what you wish for.... unless you like being miserable.
