Solid effort Greg, I notice there is a Mega burger for $12.95, Christ knows how big that one is. However, a takeaway shop burger is always going to be better than a chain store burger, no competition.

Adding beets to a burger is truly amazing! People usually turn their nose up at it if they aren’t aussies lol and look I get it, beets aren’t for everyone, but the delicate texture and flavour a beet adds to a burger is just heavenly. Throw a fried egg and a piece of pineapple on a burger and you’ve proper won my heart hahahah
Love these little joints dotted around the Goldie and surrounds ware you can pick up a feed, fishing bait and this outlet looks as though even a feather duster… When the bag goes transparent you know you’re in for a feast and that Aussie burger looked great! Love it, lets never let these mum and dad businesses die! Hamburger with the lot, Steak sandwich, Crab sticks, Scallops, Flake and Whiting, Dim Sims, Chicko Rolls, Spring Rolls, Potatato cakes, Pickled Onions and Pineapple fritters........does not get more Aussie than that!
The corner shops are rare now. It's only high volume tourist areas where your story is even close to what used to be and they aren't priced for the locals!!

Back in the 70s my parents owned Georges coffee lounge in perth under the town hall and my mum made the best burgers in the city , i never forgot how big n tasty they were

I love a simple burger that nothing is falling out of it, it’s not a chore to keep together, it should drip some sauce maybe, it can drip juice and grease.
