from an average leg spinner to one of the greatest test batsmen ever...
the journey is incredible 👏✌
@Just some guy from fairy tail dude your comment doesn't make one bit sense. India has produced so many great players...BCCI or someone's money didn't make them great. Players like Tendulkar, Kohli, Rohit Sharma etc they are great because of their talent and the performances they have done for their country. Think before you comment.
talking about Azhar Ali right?
@@emusman5225 no I'm talking about Smith ✌

The reason this was played at Lords, for those unaware, is because this was a Pakistan home fixture, and with Pakistan obviously unavailable and the UAE hadn’t been decided on yet (as well as the fact both Australia and Pakistan were touring England in 2010 anyway) led to the games being played in England.
And then again something happened in 2010
Thank you
Thanks bro for kind information ☺️
After years of searching... I found this answer
*What a better sight than Asif and Amir bowling in tandem n knocking wickets they were just pure class gold bowlers*
Lol. But they cheated so who gives one

they couldve been the next wasim & waqar
@@hadi878 they would’ve been better
@@AliKhan.1247 no one could ever be better than waqar younis in his prime. They could never have his pace, his deadly yorkers, the reverse wing etc etc etc.
@@hadi878 100% agreed, but what I meant is that his numbers would be better. Waqar only got a little over 400 wickets, mostly due to fielding.
@@AliKhan.1247 OH YES!!🤣🤣Pakistan's pathetic fielding + his back injury in 1991 which supposedly restricted his pace
I wish they did more matches like this, neutral matches give both teams an equal playing field
Why this match played at neutral venue?

Tanuj Pratap Singh because of the whole shooting thing that happened in Pakistan

9:05 Shane Watson one of the greatest alrounder of Australia.

4 aussie captains in that team, pointing, clarke, smith, paine

Smith & Paine are looking so cute 🥰
You don’t realise at the time how good some of these attacks are: Asif, Amir, Gul and the leggie Kaneria is a formidable attack in any era in any conditions
Why did they bowl first though 🙏
That's true, but unfortunately they played against an even more formidable batting lineup in this match.
@@kenoliver8913 but they got batting line-up cheaply in both innings....it was tailenders who made difference...

Pakistan board should manage its players properly from young age.
I really likes this highlights. They showed each and every thing clearly. Feeling so Happy 🤗
England Vs Australia- Eden Gardens
India Vs Pakistan- Lords
Neutral Test Match should be a norm
West Indies Vs Afghanistan in India.
Ashes has to be in one of the countries it can’t be a neutral ashes
it's not possible because .. A-it's costly B- some teams have played so much in different nations that they are aware of how to play. like if Bangladesh rarely tour England and if they Australia there , Australia obviously has an upper hand
Nice thoughts lekin crowd ka na hona prblm hoga kuki neutral ground mai stands full nhi honge
No one had idea these days that one day
Steve Smith Will make bowlers cry 😅😅
Not a lot of people know that Steve Smith actually started out as a Warne-type bowler who could bat...and look what happened!
That's a juicy but wrong story, look at his recent interview with Virat where he says he was always a batsman first, and he left bowling because it was just too much to practice and be good at both so he chose what he thought he was good at. Mind you 'who could bat too' is different than being a 'batsman first' at this level.
Also afridi started his career from medium pace bowling
Yup
Na Na G*ndu bas tujhe hi pata hai, Tu hi Shana hai bas😂
Steve Waugh started as a medium pacer .
Steve Smith then and now
Then : A leg spin bowler, not get the chance every match.
Now : No 1 Test Batsman.

He replaced Clarke, Ponting and Steve Waugh.

The bowling of Pakistan was at it's prime at that time. And Sir Steven Smith made his test debut as a leg-spinner and established himself as the No-1 Test Batsman.

Seeing Ricky Ponting happy fills my heart with delight. He was this wily old pro in a team of novices back then. The last remaining Sparta of that incredible Australian team ❤️
Don’t forget hussey ofcourse but other then that you are correct
The boy who came to become the best leggie in Australia grew up to become one of the top 5 batsmen in the world. Boy we were about to miss such a gem if he would've continued as a bowler 😂
Who dared to think back then that this fella is gonna be one of the finest batsman this game ever produced!
From being considered a replacement of Shane warne to being compared with Don Bradman ,Steve Smith is the real genius
I am missing Shane Watson sir badly 😰
As an Ausralian, I always thought we underrated him. He had a reputation as a show pony who failed when it really mattered and starred when it didn't, which when you look at his actual record was unjust.
Smith ❤ now he is #1 batsman in the world ❤🇱🇰

Woo😯 what a great bowler Mohammed Asif, his performance really outstanding. Respect from🇮🇳
Sub-plot: Mitchell Johnson clearly out of form and bowling lemon pies. A few months later he would do the same in most of the Ashes Tests (apart from Perth) and this would be a significant factor in England winning a rare away series in Australia.
He also would go on to take 37 wickets in the following series in Australia, and displayed the greatest bowling performance the ashes has ever seen
@@oliverfield877 that came against an England side in complete disarray on and off the field, with the KP saga coming to its extremely unpleasant head. I would argue instead that Warne’s 40 wickets in 2005 were better, particularly considering that England (with one of their best ever lineups) would likely have won the series against an ATG Australian team 3-1 or 4-1 without his contributions - Warne however was so good that he alone kept the series competitive.
What a bowler amir was....see what he has done to himself n his country....

A: 4 aussie captains playing the match ponting, clarke, smith and paine
B: 3 fixers playing this match asif ali, amir and butt!
Oh so you wanna go that way huh? Ponting: good player but bad attitude
Smith: has done ball tampering
Paine: the idiot captain who can’t even bat and doesn’t know when to review and when to not.
@@shabanaasgher6353 just stating some ‘straight facts ‘ , that’s it. And also steve smith has served a ban for a whole year and tell u what fixing is next level thing , fixing>>> ball tampering >> captain who is just par.
@@shabanaasgher6353 is Ponting's 'bad' attitude why he won so many games as captain too? including this one. Smith never ball tampered, Warner and Bancroft did, he was just the captain so he got punished. Paine averages 33 which is actually pretty good for a wicketkeeper, only Gilchrist and Haddin are ahead of him in batting average for Australian wicketkeepers. He does suck at review though, you got that correct.
Amir and asif were the last pak bowlers who could be called the successors of wasim-waqar
