Lovely Thank you for all your wonderful videos, I learn a lot from them, I’m not an artist, I just paint to keep myself busy after a retired over a year ago, I taught myself how to do by watching you and others like you. Thanks
I love this one - and as always I love to hear the two of you - your're great company when I'm painting! My painting turned out quite different from yours but it's pretty in its own way and I'm really pleased with it. So thank you Angela for your inspiration and expertise and the both of you for making me laugh!
Relaxing to qatch this incredible work of art being produced by a delicate hand. Thank you, you are a wee bit of a genius...love from Inverness. 🏴
Hello creative lady! You created amazingly beautiful flowers! Magical beauty! You are a brilliant talent! With all my big heart, I wish you an ocean of inspiration for your magical creative soul! With a smile, Mr. Hi! :)
I just stumbled on your tutorial. Really like the way you describe what you're doing...brushes, paints and technique as you move along. Thank you!! Greg Tucson, AZ
Omg duh, Angela! You just gave me the greatest idea! I was just saying the other day how much paint I waste with my leftover paint, and NOW I know what to do with it!! THANK YOU!
Thanks for sharing info regarding mixing colors, especially yellows. I'd been struggling to get a bright yellow with Cadmium Yellow by adding different Whites not realizing there was no substitute for Cadmium yellow light. Thanks for all your links. I love mixing colors and can learn a lot from your chart. Your painting is very inspiring and helped me realize how important the shading is on each and every flower to make them all stand out and not look so flat. Beautiful job!
I really like this one a lot. I love Queen Ann's Lace...so I would have had to add another one, I have done all your big flower series and am looking for more. As far as I am concerned you can do all flowers and throw in an ocean/beach scene once in awhile.
Hi Angela, & greetings from Ireland. Absolutely love your show. Not just the your artistic skill but the humour & banter with hubby Mark❤. Got a quick glimse of your book of flowers which I would love to try but cannot find the tutorial anywhere. Hope you can point me in the right direction. Keep up the great work. Love you both.
If you go to my website, you can find all my tutorials there. Just search for a book, and it should show up. 😀 That one was a Patreon-exclusive video. I'm working on a new one for a side project, too. www.thankfulart.com
Hi, I am in love with the paint wildflower garden. I have gotten all the supplies, but I don’t have the board that you are using to squeeze all of your little paints on and the name of the two you used to scrape them right off. Where can I buy that, by the way, I love you and your husband conversation doing the painting. Keep it up. Makes us all feel human.❤
It is a posh glass palette but you can use regular palette paper or even a foam plate. I have links to my amazon shop where you can find the palette and materials list in the video description. :)
Hi Angela, this is Sharon from New Orleans Louisiana. I have invited three of my friends to come paint with me next Friday. We want to do the book with the flowers coming out of it. Sorry to bother you. I’m still watching your other video so where do I go to see the painting of the book with the flowers? Love yourwork.
I have two of them. One is on patreon ($5 tier) and the other with the bluebird was for a special Lifebook series. Email me at angela@thankfulart.com and I will send you info on that one if you are interested. It has a special link to join.
I love seeing Wildflowers , AZ and other surrounding states, and the eastern side are so pretty .Wisconsin in the late 80' started to plant wildflowers along the freeway, but in 2000 seeing pretty flowers dwindled . to More of the Orange Cones, that would go away for awhile, and soon Sept hit, back up bloomed the Orange Fat heads. and through out winter .and into late Spring. but some how we do get the beautiful Blue Chicory popping up through the cracks on overpasses , no water, no real soil, but there they are. Did see Wildflowers growing in some parks , telling people not to pick, been treated. to help rid the Ash Boar insect killing the trees. BUT NO BIRDS ,due to the treated flowers. Where did they go? The warblers, the thrush , the orioles, woodpeckers, kinglets, even the common were gone, along with the ducks. It was not bird flu to blame. No news talk.
Just a thought, I heard you mention during your painting class that you would like to teach in person classes. Have you thought about teaming up with your local museum to teach? I work at a museum where we do that from time to time. Of course it usually is locals but it’s a start. Thanks for the fun Tutorial !🌼🌼
Yes I wish we lived in a bigger city. I've taught at our local (tiny) art center but since I've started RUclips I haven't had much time for extra projects.
Thanks for sharing! I love how mine came out. 1st time using one of your tutorials. As a newbie, I have one suggestion, could you try to show us the shape of the brush your using b4 you apply the color, that's that part that was hard for me. I had a bit if trial and error😅 but other than that. This was great. Going to check out your other video for more inspiration and learning tips 🥰
It’s called artistic license! We all have the prerogative to paint as we want for those who don’t like it they can paint their paintings however they want to…😊

Im sorry, I'm pretty sure this was already answered but I cannot find it. Could someone tell me where to find the palette she's using? It scrapes off so nicely like a soft silicone!!!
U assume we all know how to paint grass. A little explanation besides “Im using a filbert to go uo and diwn” because every time i try your tutorials i get pissed and swear ill never watch another one because u need to explain HOW your getting that look not just talk about WHAT your doing. I follow along and mine NEVER looks like yours because i dont have a clue how using a filbert and going uo and down is gonna make grass. I dont even know wtf a filbert is. Really frustrating to watch your tutorials. My opiniion of course
I know the process of learning to paint can be frustrating. It takes time to build skill through practice and experience. And it is totally normal and expected that you would have struggles understanding how to paint when first learning it. Let off the pressure to get it perfect and observe what is happening when you paint. Watch how I'm loading my brush. It is all visible in real time. I have a beginner series of videos where I go slower and explain in more detail. Any of my videos that do not have "Beginner" or "Easy" in the title are more advanced and yes I DO expect that students have handled a brush a few times and know some of the techniques I'm using. I'm sorry you are feeling the need to lash out at me. I try the best I can to explain but no teacher can compensate for inexperience. It just takes time and practice to learn to paint. Feel free to check out the many other teachers on RUclips, Hopefully you will find the perfect one for your needs.

Do you know how to get dioxazine purple mixed
The closest I've come is Quinacridone Magenta and Ultramarine Blue. It is not quite as saturated or deep but it is close.

Too much chit chat...
Why did they have to use such serious names to the colors? How about purple, violet, green light medium etc? 😂
Right!? So hard to say some of them!
