  • A lot can be learned by drawing from props. The object doesn't need to be complicated to be a great learning experience. I used a ceramic bird to focus on important elements of art: Line, Form and Shadow.

    It's so great to not only get inspiration, but ideas on practicing shape/shadow/color without leaving the house...especially when it's raining! As others have stated, now looking for a prop to sit atop the paint table:)! Thanks!

    this is lovely. very true about shadow shapes. never thought to draw props though in semi-top view. Love the final pieces!

    What a brilliant way to study light and shade, plus make an interesting picture...I am going to encourage my little niece to do this as a fun way to learn...hope you make some more videos very soon, they are so enjoyable, and inspiring to watch...Thank you for sharing...

    Thanks for sharing at least your results. In my oppinion It's a pitti not seeing more of your drawing and coloringprocess. And how managed you to make the shadow of the birds you gave feets on, but in reality they donot exist ?
