Ended up making a thumbnail for this thing, hoping it'll help it do a bit better. Rough around the edges, but a thumbnail is a thumbnail, right? If you guys like this sort of thing, I've got ideas to do more in the future. Making thumbnails is really hard tho (who woulda known stick figures are hard to draw?)
@@hitwid Yes; if you type "/em1" and "/em2" followed by your message, you can have your character say something. This also works in multiplayer but it depends on which player you are (p1 = em1, and p2 = em2)
Yo, one of the two coders for the mod here, and my main contribution was making the ability more stable. It's simple really, he just gains invulnerability, freezes King Crimson temporarily, force simulates the next X ticks (technically in a similar way to what undo uses to catch up, but I digress), and creates a screen wide SFX. (The SFX is done after the skip technically, otherwise it'd get skipped too.)
@@thejoaquindead9515 to explain it thoroughly i'd need a lot of time but to put it simply, when he activates his ability he creates a dimension where time is erased and only he remembers what happens, he cannot touch or be touched by anything, only after the ability is over, but he can reposition for an attack and still use the ability to avoid damage, after the time skip the opponent is also probably confused because they moved not knowing when and how. He also has a second ability called Epitaph that lets him look into the future a few seconds after. In the games where he's featured we don't see the time erasing because it would be hell to program, "all that remains is the result". his abilit works with the concept of fate but i don't wanna explain that shit, watch jojo, it's amazing

Anyway, since there's an infinite amount of alternate versions of one world and no world is the original, the diavolo here might just be a version of part 5 diavolo but instead of dying minutes after a death, he lives the life of one of his counterparts from a certain point in their life up to death effectively creating more diavolos in the multiverse
@@Shadow_Xzorion I'd love for someone to make a comic about Diavolo's redemption and journey on finding a purpose in his eternal deaths after being changed by whatever he encountered in one of his deaths and realising that doing good brings him peace, it also would be cool for him to reawakening of King crimson with a more selfless ability as in allowing himself and others to avoid fate with it's new ability, god damn, I wish as good at drawing cuz I want this shit now
I thought Diavolo would lose considering he mentioned himself dying even though King Crimson is busted but wow, i bet he probably emded up tripping on a rock 5 seconds after winning lmfao

The water is its own mod, yeah! The reflections are just a part of it, honestly one of my favourite yomi mods. You can find it on the Steam workshop under "Water Front"
The idea is that you "skip" the game forwards in terms of frames of animation, deleting what happens. This allows you to "skip" getting hit in a combo, or "skip" forwards to "teleport", and throw off your opponent's plans. In practice it skips however many frames forwards you choose, with neither character being able to act during the skipped time. The important part to note is that while an *attack* may get removed in the deleted time, the *end lag* is not, which is what allows you to punish enemies. Which goes into my next point; This character relies on prediction to use the Time Skip well, because if your opponent predicts your skip and just doesn't use a move, they get to act first, similar to if they had parried your burst or move. Because your Burst *is* a Time Skip, instead of parrying it, they just don't act so they don't have a move that is skipped. The alternative burst doesn't push the enemy away, the only distance they would have gone is if their move would have moved them that far, allowing you to immediately turn their combo into *your* combo. Teleporting with time skip is a bit different than teleporting with a normal character. You have to be moving first, and you skip forwards to that place you would be after however many frames you chose to skip. And predicting this teleport is not like predicting a normal one. People aren't trying to predict WHERE you are teleporting, but WHEN you are teleporting, so they know when to avoid attacking. I may be slightly off since it's been like, over two weeks since I played or fought Diavolo.
