Motorola is a chinese company today, not an american one. All chinese companies combined dominate the global smartphone market, even if you add market share of western brands (Samsung, Apple).
But if there are many companies from the same country, the citizen will think twice and won't have much loyalty to any one company because all these companies are from the same country they are from. Therefore, there is no loyalty at all. But for example, Korean citizen knows that there is only one company, and it is from their own country, therefore they will be loyal to it.

My first phone was Samsung Galaxy Dose two then the regular iPhone 6, then the Honor Play, then the Poco X4 GT. I still have the Poco X4 GT. I'm waiting for the iPhone 18 to come and buy it, the 18 Pro Max 🙂😍❤️
My Samsung tablet had the screen delaminating from the body for no apparent reason just a year into use. It was protected by a soft TPU case. Together with their infamous battery explosion cases, I have since stopped buying Samsung devices. Their quality control isn't top-notch anymore ...
