    I use my homemade 2meter yagi to communicate over 2 rural counties. Right now its mounted about 6 feet up on a pole in the back yard, I use it every week to check in to our 2 meter ARES network.

    Do you think you can tune this for better signal on the weather band. I have another station that causes interference with my home station and I need a antenna that will have gain in the direction of my home transmitter

      If you do a search on the internet you will find a calculator (it's pretty easy to find) that will enable you to fine-tune this antenna to Whatever frequency you want and that would include the NOAA weather band

    You mention 'fox hunting' - obviously there's a Ham activity I don't know about. Or is it just an American term?
