great idea, I did kind of the same thing last year. I bought 6 strawberry plants and because I rooted the runners now I am 25+ strawberry plants. :)

Excellent fruit and such healthy looking plants, especially considering they are in shallow boxes.Will you put the selected runners into the old boxes (and just dig old plants), or into new potting mix ?
