Hey Kevin, thank you for this word of encouragement. It's nice to know that we aren't alone in our journey in Christ although it can seem like a lonely road that few are on. God bless you in Him ❤🙏
Jeremiah 10:3-5 very clearly isn’t talking about Christmas trees. Just read it: 3 For the practices of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel. 4 They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter. 5 Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field, their idols cannot speak; they must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them; they can do no harm nor can they do any good.” **These verses are not talking about Christmas trees, rather trees that were cut down and carved into idols made to look like people that were then worshipped as false deities. According to the Encyclopedia of Christmas: "The earliest known Christmas tree ornaments were apples. Medieval actors used them to decorate the paradise tree, the central prop of the paradise play, a medieval European mystery play often performed on December 24. The apples represented the temptation of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden" (p. 583). There is origin pagan about decorating a tree in honor of the creation account in Genesis.
