    I super appreciate you for looking out for me #TeamCrystalAsige 😍😍 Brian reached out to me personally about this genuine mistake. No love lost. I respect his amazing example of humility, we don’t see it enough on these Internet streets. The only thing that is still upsetting me is... Where is Kaskazini in the title ? 🙃😭 their verse BANGS! But a review on Bensoul’s Favourite Song Will help dry my tears 😉 Ha ha #AfricanExcellence

    The song is basically about Sauti Sol introducing the artistes in their label to the world hence 'extravaganza' which is them basically showcasing the different acts. The lyrics emphasize that they are here to stay and despite any opposition they face, they'll still make it and rule the airwaves case in point the song which has used Rhumba which is generally and old school kind of vibe but have still made it trend and resonate with today's audience, despite that sound not being as popular as it was 20+ years ago in Kenya.

    I feel like this one was out of your ways guys, judging from your reactions.This one was hard.Your parents (no offence) would understand or rate it better. It's not high life, it's rhumba/rumba.Do some research on the Congolese music, only then will you be able to understand Extravaganza. Diamond and Fally ipupa (Inama) released the same just the other day. Also someone has already mentioned what crystal is suffering from hence her eyes looking bluish,glaucoma. Maybe you should do some research on these artists before reacting to their songs, it will help avoid comment like "her eyes look scary". Also, the subtitle on the song is misleading, turn it off.
    Extravaganza is timeless.

    Congolese rumba, also known as Rumba Lingala after its predominant language, is a popular genre of dance music which originated in the Congo basinduring the 1940s, with strong similarities to Cuban son. The style gained popularity throughout Africa during the 1960s and 1970s. ~ Wikipedia.

    The genre is Rhumba.. But funkie Rhumba. Extravaganza is the old skul musical extravaganza we used to have that would showcase different artists think of it like Apollo. As for the Lady she's called Crystal yes it's her real hair and her eyes it's cause she's virtually impaired. She actually has a vlogs on all that. So I know the end of the song was abit confusing yes they talked about random things but they were basically things we used to be told by our parents when we were younger and starting to find our feet when going to parties or the movies.. Basically they were warnings 'bibi ya mtu is a no go zone' basically stay away from the married ladies esp in clubs. Hence why so they did an amalgamation of all the usual things we used to be warned about. Bryan you were right each artist was sharing their own story but all related to having a good time and the barriers they all faced with that. Also their political innuendos throw there 'wakiiapisha tunaapisha' that grew from last Kenyan election that now have become local lingua in everyday talk

    When you guys started this channel... I loved it soo much.. I would always watch share.. I was interning somewhere and I would literally force everyone in the whole department to watch coz I love Kenyan music and I appreciated that you where somehow promoting it! But with time I noticed you guys were shifting and not appreciating the Kenyan authentic tune..especially the guys from west Africa on your team..and to worsen it all you talking always in between in sarcastic ways with are offensive to people who get the music.. Hence I totally stopped watching you content completely....and more reactors came up and I had options
    Today I wanted to hear if u guys are the same since i have seen you guys reacting to this amazing song that i love... am mad about the crystal comment...
    Throwing words aimlessly ain't cool. Ooh some guys on your bench piss me always
    NB: it my opinion..my reaction to your channel too

    • @UbunifuSpace
      @UbunifuSpace  5 лет назад +5

      In response to the crystal comment we was not aware prior to reacting, we have only just realised as people have let us know in the comments since the video was released. I feel there is an unrealistic expectation, that we must know every aspect about every song and artist before we react, the key word is 'react' Unlike a 'review' where you have all the information available to you and you sit down and have in depth discussion about the topic. We react to whats been put in front of us without any prior information other than the name of the song or brief information on the title of the song. This has been the same since our first reaction to "Gudi Gudi", upto now and the same applies to whatever region we react to whether it be Zimbabwe, France, Brazil, Nigeria, South Africa etc the same rules apply. Now in a situation like this sometimes something wrong can be said, but it was not to cause any offence as we had no Idea and we can only apologise if we did cause offence, but also please do remember we had no idea while reacting.

    • @mercyntinyari
      @mercyntinyari 5 лет назад +19

      @@UbunifuSpace I don't expect anything unrealistic from you... But I expect passion for music
      Where you can appreciate good music without having to necessarily understand the language! Music is the message and authenticity not the PR and marketing of nowadays.. Kenyans appreciates Oliver mtukuzi songs without hearing understanding his language.. Yvonne chakachakas songs are still a boom in Kenya yet majority don't understand a thing..
      Rhumba is a big tune in Africa and particularly Kenya yet majority don't understand lingala
      My point is majority of your reactions always seem to favour afro-beats tune
      Other artists doing different things..are not good..by your expressions!
      Yes react to songs authentically as you guys did before but.
      but background check on a musician is just a Google away
      Reacting and rating a musician based on your personalized preference on music genres ain't cool
      Africa got 55 countries hence the tunes vary.... depending on region...

But look at the west Africans in the group, they are always showing love to their music.. I was personally very offended by that sage comment, a little knowledge would help and perhaps they stop acting like some white kids "supporting" poor artists from Africa!
