Let me count the ways that is not original rat a tat tat...ignorant buyers and shifty sellers bidding up the markets. It only takes a two sellers bidding against each other and the rest of us pay for it down the road.
@@2-strokeracer531 I'm not the original poster of this comment but I have three of these. I saw issues as well. #1 The carbs were panted black, not stripped/unpainted. #2 The cylinder has been repainted but they didn't bother to file the sides of the fins. #3 I have a hard time believing nothing needed to be fixed after the crash that bent the clutch lever. #4 Mirrors are not OEM #5 That 12v conversion is so much more complicated than it needs to be. There are far better options available such as the one from Rex's speed shop.
@@thedzaster03 I'd agree with you on pretty much everything you stated with the exception of the 12v system. I just put the Vape Powerdynamo on my 76 DT400 and it was very easy to install, the bike runs great and fires right up without the dreaded kickback. Only issue I'm having is finding a battery and headlight.
Ahhhh! The 70's! TWO STROKE HEAVEN!
What an absolutely beautiful DT 400! Brings back great memories from my younger years.
What I do not hear on these ad/vids is the mention of the 'tucked in' exhaust pipe.
It was an innovation in the day.
I had one wish I still had it..!!
It's okay to paint your bikes like this one. You do NOT have to say untouched. Still beautiful bike.
