    One thing a lot of builders forget or don’t know to add is a liquids spill shield.
    This is usually a very thin bit of aluminium or high temp plastic that catches and redirects fluids from burst hoses or fittings away from hot things and the tires. They help prevent fires and crashes.

    Even if the dry sump is designed like that, it's not the best in my opinion: it means that in stationary conditions (No lateral G forces) the engine needs that level of oil to reach the scavenging pump, that also means that in the basement the oil reaches the crankshaft. One of the main reason for dry sump is removing oil from the shaft to avoid loss of energy and oil mixing. The second main reason is running high G without a lot of oil, with the pump placed behind the engine the oil level required is noticeably lower. I'm typing this just beacuse this build is really well done on all the technical aspects, hope this can help.

    • @stanceworks
      @stanceworks  2 года назад +2

      I appreciate the thoughts, but with all due respect, I am sure Bill Dailey of all people has it figured out. Dailey is a top name in dry sump, and I confirmed with him that with this system, the angle of the engine genuinely doesn’t matter.
