Thank you, Taylor, for the tour and to Jeff for allowing us a view into his abode. It is lovely and looks bright and airy. I would definitely get a lot of use out of that pool!
Oh My. Beautiful house and sizes of that house, inside even bigger. Spaces and you have your own privacy to be alone, I like it. Thanks Andrew for sharing and show us around. Cheers.

Thanks Andy, great to be back in Penang! Loved the tour of Jeff's home, and if he might be up for it, I'd love to hear a bit about why it moved to Penang and his take on living in Malaysia.
On my several biz trips to Penang Island, I used to stay at the G Hotel a happening place and used to visit Straits Quay and walk the area you showed. It was a very tranquil serene place with the light house near it. Also used to hang out at the Irish pub and enjoy musical evenings on week ends on the open area. Penang is an awesome place and very affordable if you are from the US as even your basic retirement money will go long luxurious way. That whole area in front of Gurney Plaza was going thru land reclamation 4 years back and wondering where is it now. May be you can get some updates on that since you are in Penang now. Brings back great fond memories. Thanks!
since foreigners can't buying properties over here. just make a hotel so you guys can earn and develop Life. and please we are Muslim country respect our ISLAM.
Another new idea from Taylor and so refreshing. At least we knew how well to do people enjoy their life. I love the owner office concept. That's is home file room on finances, bills etc.
Yes, I think it's a lovely house. Yes, we love the location and will be viewing the area next month when we arrive in Penang. Perhaps Quayside condos or really anywhere around Straits Quay - down to Gurney Drive. Thank you.
Great home tour Taylor, thank you!! You look very relaxed and ‘at home.’ Would like to see more home tours. I’m so looking forward to my upcoming trip to Penang and KL (and a few other places). 🏝️ Keep up the good work!!
OMG Andrew,my partner and I were just saying, maybe we could ask you to do a segment on Gurney Drive in Penang. We were on a short visit to Malaysia a few years ago as we went to Sepilok (Orangutan Reserve) in Sabah and a couple of days in Kuala Lumpur. We were recommended a beautiful Airbnb by the beach in Gurney Drive but had to return home, not enough time.We googled Gurney drive in Penang and we hope to visit one day. For a million dollar, the house is great,a bit close to the neigbouring house but with the indoor lift?,my parents would kill for it! Would you be showing us the surrounding areas of Gurney drive?perhaps the cafes and all......we thank you Andrew...
Gurney Drive is the place and a happening place. On my 5/6 biz trips i had the privilege of staying at the G Hotel with a room on 12th floor facing the Ocean and was an awesome experience. The paragon mall 2 blocks from G used to be another fun place to hang out, and the drive from Gurney towards Batu Feringi was the most beautiful one with fine beaches, great condos, and a lively night market..
Its a nice airy looking house. The elevator makes it livable. I like that its next to the water. Had to look up ReClaimed Land to find out its safety aspects. I would definitely tour the place when and if I'm going to Penang in the future. Thank you Taylor and to Jeff for letting us take a peek into his humble abode. Aloha from Honolulu Hawaii
Check out flooding and heat gain. Visit people in the slightly older S Quay developments close by and ask about build quality. And kiss goodbye to whatever.mobility you have as you increasingly rely on the lift😢😮
Love this episode! Omg! Such beautiful house. My husband and I are looking to retire in Malaysia too. We would love to live in penang, KL and Ipoh. So no plan to buy property. Will probably be renting for up to 6 months in each place. Taylor, can I recommend you to do an episode about the different reputable company/websites to search for rental properties or for sale properties. I have no clue what website to use to search for rental properties in penang, ipoh and KL. Really like your videos, keep up the good work! 👍
It was really fascinating, especially since we are considering relocating to Penang from the US in the future. Thank you. Next month, my husband and I will be visiting Penang. We're thinking of staying in Tanjung Tokong for four nights and then near the UNESCO Heritage Site of Georgetown for two or three nights. We would greatly appreciate your thoughts on our plan. I'm uncertain whether we should spend our entire stay in Penang right in the center of Georgetown.

Come on, Andrew, time to move back to Penang!!! I was there last month scoping out condos and found so many beautiful places to consider. Penang is truly awesome!!!!
Nice vlog once again, keep ‘em coming! Funny to see this, we also looked at exactly these super semi detached in Tanjong Tokong in Georgetown Penang. But as much as we liked it, we decided not to leave KLCC, we rather visit penang when we feel like and live in KL, instead of the opposite way.
Beautiful home! Far too close to other houses. I'm not sure I could live in a place where other properties 'overlooked' my living space. How do others feel about that? Thanks for a great tour. 🥰
Honestly, who would have thought that sincerity, saying it as it is can be funny! Perhaps that is the Andrew Taylor's charm, Malaysia's own American uncle.

so much is it Andy.. when they say it build on reclaimed land.. its basically a refilled using debris when they cut those mountains and hills then smash those debris into little bits.. they've been doing that for hundreds of years..
Just like Melaka, there are a number of interesting museums in Penang that can be visited such as Toy Museum, War Museum, 3D Museum, Ghost Museum etc etc.
This property is built on reclaimed land and as such it is on a lease of 99 years. 1.5m USD is a bit on the high side. The property is gated and guarded, so there’s a small maintenance cost every month. The location is near to restaurants and pubs, and shops and supermarkets.
