I don’t usually comment on these things but here goes, yes Nigel I believe you are correct when you say you know when you are a lap down from the little racing that I have done in the past (not F1), the transponders are there to help out the lap scores I believe and from the evidence I have seen this shows that Michael Scriven actually won the race not 515. With regard to the suspension of Ryan I think that this the sport shooting themselves in the foot, maybe him shouldn’t have rammed the 5 car, but honestly was it that bad, we have seen worse go unpunished. Whether you are a 197 fan or not he is out there to win and entertain us and he puts bums on seats as they say. Anyway I think I’ve said enough keep up the good work Nigel
My dad won a final at a very wet Long Eaton back in the early seventies as he knew no one passed him. Didn’t get the win as it was assumed he was a lap down being a white top. Was proper gutted and never really got over it. I guess it was hard for lap scorers to keep pace when all the cars looked like chocolate!! Many thanks for sharing Nigel best wishes

I'm sorry but Ryan broke the rules by deliberately ramming another car ( more than once) which was up against the fence. Extremely dangerous and deserves the ban given.
@@bryanmakinson1048 it wasn't extremely dangerous. It was at very slow speed, doesn't deserve a ban its absolutely ridiculous and another example why the sport is dying out. There isn't enough drivers as it is.
@@richardthompson4825 The reason for the rule is that the other driver may be injured already or may be injured because of the contact. As might Marhalls checking the situation or being close and waving flags. He is not the first driver to be punished because of this.
@@daveclarke6481 seems pretty harsh to me to basically end his season. If he'd took a massive run up then fair enough but he ran into him from about a meter away, put a bit of a dampener on what was a great race and then the absolute shambles with the race result just to top it off.

Hes been banned for the rest of the season for reversing and driving into the stationary Charlie Sworder after Sworder took him out on the final lap.
