    Thanks for the content. It’s the closest thing I’ve found to my search - I have a cheap Chinese chest fridge/freezer with the panel on the lid. Well, got caught in rain, and it now longer does anything. This may be worth a shot.

    I like your work mate! I have the same fridge but spinifex brand, same problem ER1- low voltage input. Compressor is perfect and fridge body is immaculate. I’ll give this hack a go and hopefully no more warm drinks !!!

    Thanks for putting out this video! I have a STAKOL 12V/120VAC that failed after the warranty period. I found a thermo switch off Amazon
    2PCS XH-W1219 Temperature Controller Module Double Display Digital Thermostat Module with Waterproof NTC Probe, -50~110℃ Electronic Temperature Temp Control Module Switch
    which had the POS and NEG (UCC and GND) reversed from yours. Finally figured it out and now I just need to button the cooler up!

    Thank you for the vid, very helpful Do you have a wire to ground ? If so how have you wired it up

      @danielborg3115  4 года назад +1

      The negative wire is running to the compressor and fan. They should be grounded to the fridge chassis.

    Thanks mate
    But now do you need to also run a low voltage cut off switch to protect the compressor, and battery??

    • @danielborg3115
      @danielborg3115  4 года назад

      You could possibly do that if you are concerned about low voltage doing damage...

    Hi there my Waeco is a 3 way if i do this will it become just a 12v fridge ? or can i keep it as a 3 way ?

    • @danielborg3115
      @danielborg3115  4 года назад +1

      I’ve never considered doing it to a three way but I presume the 12v cooling unit could be wired in the same way. I’m not sure that the gas or ac functions would be safe afterwards.

    What size fuse do you need on the positive wire?
    Did you wire the internal light up/how?

    • @danielborg3115
      @danielborg3115  4 года назад

      The fuse I run is 10amp. It is possible to run the internal light if you can access the wires. I didn’t bother.

    hello, I have a small portable air conditioner a300 from AliExpress that works with a mini compressor at 12v scroll. I accidentally connected the wrong battery and burned something on the motherboard. can I fix something else, or what do you think happened? could I install a waeco car refrigerator motor?

    Thank you for the info. Great Video. I have one of these reefers that was cutting out after a few minutes and so I wired it up like you did and it worked great ! Thanks ! One problem, though: It seems to be using over 7 amps while cooling down. Does that seem right to you ? I never checked the amp usage before but that seems high. Any ideas ? mine is 45 liter.

      I think that is ok for full running power draw. I think they say average is around 2-3amp but that includes down time when compressor isn’t running.

    Hi Daniel, I see you haven't answered back to any questions yet but maybe I'll be lucky...I have a cf60 WAECO with stuffed thermister and would like to change to your set up, does your mod work for the 240v as well as the 12v socket, as it looked like you only have one socket on rear of your fridge also an any link you may have to the part from ebay...thank you Dan..

      Hi mate. Sorry this fix only works for 12-24v.... Although I believe the 240v inlet is just an inbuilt transformer from 240-12v so it is likely that it feeds the 12v to the same circuitry.

    • @JOGOonYouTube

      It’ll work on 240 supply as long as you have a 240 to 12v transformer
