    Wow! Christmas come early!! Surprising range; I've never seen tapering mandrels like these. I am intrigued to see how you get on with the tools. Especially the mitre clamp - that's the one on my wish list at the moment. Looking forward to the next videos, Nick

    • @Nickscreativestuff
      @Nickscreativestuff  Год назад +1

      Hi Andrew, yes nice to have early Christmas toys to play with … The “Ring Bezel Mandrel Triblets” were a very cheap budget set to have a go with from cousinsuk. The mitre clamp was also an economy version but looks fine to me. I didn’t want to pay over £400 for Bergeon made version. Now just need a few video ideas using my nice new shiny tools … N

    Don't you just Love an unboxing!!! I recognize some of those tools!! I'm so glad you were able to get them. I have a suggestion... before you do anything about the ingot mould, try to use it several times because it looks to me like a very thick protective coating of some sort. If you try burning it off and it's not plain old paint, then you might end up with just a rusty old piece of metal. I know you know way better than I do about your 'creative stuff', but sometimes I feel like I just need to try to help!! 😂 Thanks for sharing the unboxing with us, Nick!! I can't wait to see the new videos!!

    • @Nickscreativestuff
      @Nickscreativestuff  Год назад +1

      thanks for that SandiRose, I try it first with molten copper and it did give off smoke and smelly fumes so I bit the bullet and burnt it all off and wire brushed back. now it’s a lot less textured in the grooves and works fine I will just need to keep it oiled to prevent rust. I’ve now got plenty of fresh ideas for videos with my nice new shiny toys … cheers … Nick

    • @SandiRose2008

      Hi Michelle, being a hobbyist expensive top end tools aren’t always a priority for me so sometimes I go for budget tools rather than nothing.
      This dapping set I bought is probably the cheapest on the market and found it at cousinsuk.com … I did get a bit carried away on there website with my shopping cart and bought a lot of other cheap tools that I’ve always wanted … oh well I’ve never regretted buying tools … N

      thanks for the hugs Michelle, this whole order came from cousinsUK not sure if they deal with overseas orders. They call these mandrels “ Ring Bezel Mandrel Triblets”. RUclips is the only social media I do and is enough to struggle with the complexities of how it all works … hope you get your notifications sorted … Nick
