I’ve got my dog when she was 4 months never had no real problems then out the blue she got cancer she was 10 years old. & passed 11/10/21 she was family miss her already. thy are great dogs the best
My bullie baby is 13. He never experienced any of these issues but he has cancer now. Tomorrow he goes to heaven and I’m having a really hard time with that. I will miss him so very much😢
Rest in peace. Sad. Mine died from cancer as well. Sad these dogs this breed should have never been created. It's so wrong. It's not made to breathe even , serious they struggle to breathe even when healthy. So sad
I sure hope that’s my girl! She’s 6.5 has had a the stenotic nares surgery on both nostrils, her pallet shortened, eye surgery for entropion for both eyes, one did not take and will need surgery again, she takes Appa quill daily for her allergies and those wrinkles… it’s a never ending battle!! She has what the vet says is early arthritis is her back legs But she is the sweetest thing and we try to do everything that’s best for her and I pray often that she lives longer than the average ! I’ve had her since she was 11 weeks , she was the last of her liter ( my guess is because of the stenotic nares) she’s our baby girl!!
Wow 13 is allmost a world record. All my Bulldogs passed away before age 12. Worst breed for die young and serious breathing issues. Dogs were NEVER shaped this way. Years of manipulation and breeding created this breed. Sad they die too young.
I agree! Most people think the fatter they are the cuter, the snoring and snorting.. when it fact it’s not cute, they suffer if their not taken care of. The first 5 1/2 months of my dogs life we were in a constant panic and didn’t sleep much because she would stop breathing or struggle so hard to. As soon as the vet gave the OK for her to have the surgery we had it done. She still snores but you can actually see openings in her nostrils where when I first got her they were pretty much pinch closed. Her palate was shortened.and it’s done wonders for her. We still take precautions so she doesn’t over exert herself. English bulldogs are not for everyone. I knew what I was getting into in our life there pretty much catered around her and her needs.

I'm getting one today wish me luck
Sad these dogs skulls are not efficient for breathing , that short snout cause breathing issues. It's so sad. Cruel really.
