Fascinating information on Vermeer! I thought I was familiar with this genius, but you have reminded me that there is always much more to learn. I always enjoy your intelligent and engaging presentations. Thank you!

thanks so much for this video. I am fascinated by some of your observations. I have not properly understood about curtains in front of paintings before. The curtain is like a fifth wall but is also references story about Zeuxis and Parrhasius. Amazing! Vermeer was a clever guy!

I so thoroughly enjoy all of your videos!! So much amazing information! I, like many people, I imagine, thought the green curtain was part of the letter reading girl's room, not a trompe l'oeil! Thank you very much for sharing your expertise and I look forward to your next video!

Thank you very much for this video. You mentioned forged signatures used to fetch higher prices. Do you have a video discussing these practices and the results of them? Or is there another resource I can look at? Thanks again!

I´m sorry but from what I found the Zeuxis and Parhasius is the other way around. Zeuxis pinted the grapes and Parhasius won. Otherwise its really informative. Thank you. I find especially interesting the restorative work and how long it takes to get it done .. UAU
