Thanks for part 2! Lots to think about, especially on staying motivated and weighted key digital pianos like the P515. I’m going to buy a digital piano at some point, I have a very uninspiring spinet. Also, from my guitar experience, I tend to rush a lot, so practicing repetitively with a metronome for me is essential to make sure I’m dialed in to the tempo before I turn the metronome off and play a piece for others to hear. Happy New Year!
I understand! Especially not having a good instructrument. I am also not happy with mine. I wish I had an acoustic. .. I also use metronome sometimes. Maybe not as much as I should, haha.
Thanks Daria! I do like your teaching approach. Well done. I am looking forward to more details videos on the Russian school. Perhaps I dare proposing that it would be interesting that a pofessional pianist youtuber makes few videos with demos on the old book Relaxation Studies (Matthay, Tobias). Just putting the idea there; maybe someone will develop it one da!!
There are plenty, the most basic one form Yamaha is P125. There are also other brands, like Rolland FP30 and higher numbers, Kawai ES series. ES8 oe ES 920. I like Yamaha p515. There are also clavinovas by Yamaha. Depends if you are thinking portable or stationary
I am a 76 year old beginner. Are the three Russian School books proper for the self taught as I have no piano teach but you. I enjoy your videos and learn much from them.
Hello Michael, Thank you for your question! I would say that the Technique Conus book and the 1st Red one from Nikolaev series works for a self taught student, because it explains what the exercises are for. But the next two blue ones in that series will be difficult to digest properly without a teacher. Each piece has its own objectives and challenges that have to be explained by a good teacher to make the best use of them. Unfortunately I am busy with school and work lately, so haven't had a chance to devote time to making more videos but I'm hoping to make a patriot in the near future, where I can upload a more niche content related to those books for beginners and intermediate. That's the best help I can provide. Sorry! Best of luck with your studies and thank you for watching my videos! I'm glad you are able to learn from them!!🙏🎹👍
What would come after those three books in the course of instruction. Just curious. I will need to locate a teacher at some point but I live 75 miles North of Houston, Texas in a small city. They may not like the sound of "Russian School" in Texas.
I love playing because the piano sounds so beautiful. It sounds like you look.
☺️🙏
Спасибо Дарья за хорошие советы. С новым годом!
Спасибо, Сергей! С новым годом и Вас!🎊🎶

Thank you for your comment and suggestion! I will look into those books you mentioned!
I thought Yamaha p45 is fully weighted. 😢. What digital piano has fully weighted keys ?
