Currently doing this on my 1946 fleetmaster using the identical rear axel. Running into all kinds of problems trying to use 2 1/2" leaf springs. I saw what you did with the original leaf springs and was like "duh". Love your set up with originals, will definatly go that way! Thanks for the video! Learned a ton!
I was looking at this, and thinking how wonderful it would be to have a car like this. I probably won't, but it's interesting to see what you've been doing. I got to wondering about 6-12 volt conversions, and came across your channel. Hope to see more of this sort of thing.
He did mentioned the pinion set up. Guess he welded the perches on just by leveling rearend. My understanding is that the Angle from rear to front are in degrees🤔
Cool beans man. t5 S10 no adapters flip the springs centers the wheel! Very cool. When you pulled the original transmission do you pull the rear diff completely off or just move out back enough to move the driver shaft tube put off the way?
After watching your video on t-5 install I’m going to do the in my 1952 1/2 ton. You said you swapped out the input shaft from a Jeep CJ. What years and trans from the Jeep CJ do I need to look for. Thanks for the info and the video is great Mike
Looking good bro. I've had my t5 ready for a long time. Hopefully this year I can get to it. I'm glad you got a chance to almost finish the conversion. Would you know what's the length of that rearend? I might have a better chance getting a late 80s camaro rearend. Wondering if it would fit right.
Hey enjoying your videos. It’s hard to tell but it looks like you have a Montana license plate is that right? I’m just curious I’m originally from Kalispell Montana currently living in Phoenix.
@@ericsscout Hi Eric I watched your video on s10 T5 swap 52 Chevy and I am doing the same on my 50 Chevy but I have just one problem The 1st gear synchronizer ring does not fit the t5 is out of a 1991s10 I think it is a WC but not sure thank you so much for the video I am also doing the same rear end PS I used the jeep input shaft 346670AG DAVE
You are a hack making this video giving the wrong information, you swapped the spring but the heavy duty bushing you showed does not press in to the small end you installed in the front, those bushings are not designed to take the abuse, and those shock mounts are not correct, why not buy the correct parts to do the job right.

Enjoy your videos, thanks for sharing. Best to you man
Planning on starting to work on my 51 here this fall.
Thanks for making the videos 👍 , I have a 53 I was going to do the s10 swap with, does the leaf spring flip trick apply to 53's as well?
I believe it does. Have fun with your swap! It's worth it.
Good video bro.... thanks for sharing.

I pulled the rear diff out as I was changing it all anyway.

The input shaft is for a Jeep T5 transmission. Nothing special on the years just a jeep t5. The transmission i used was from an 80's S10 truck.

Rear end is 60" wide. Keep working on yours, eventually it will come together.
Did you originally have shackles in the front eyes of the springs too since it was a torque tube setup and swap them to rigid mounts?
I have a 1950 deluxe will a 4x4 rear end from a blazer fit thank you in advance for the help

Yep. I'm in Billings. We love traveling all over the state.

So you set the angle on the new seats the same angle as s10 ?
Let me know about that 56 chevy overdrive
Wasn't it considered a parking break and not a emergency brake
