Anyone who wants to buy EV Simple calculation for Range is avg watt hr you consume while driving. You can see in CAR's screen that avg consumption is 120wh/km So here I m sharing screenshot for calculation an will tell you exact range So if you drive EV 70+~ speed then avg electricity consumption will be 120 WH/KM So if EV has 35KW battery then 35×1000/120=291KM Ref:-1000 is equal to 1KW So if you drive 65-70 speed then consumption will be 102-110~ So range will be avg 330KM
What about driving in city, in city we can't keep the speed constant or high, the speed fluctuates from 20 to 50. How do we get the max range? Mine gives 171

When you push the break and again pick up acceleration it takes more energy so you will see electricity consumption will be 130~ WH/KM in City. 170km which car do u have? Sharing my experience: Sir, I have bought Punch EV LR variant 3 months back. Day by day, the range (with AC on) increased from 250 to 300km (with energy efficiency 110-120). We live in north India and during extreme hot weather (40 degree+), the range decreased to 200-210, and energy efficiency increased to 160 (shocking). The climate system is consuming more battery (what I have observed!). Means, range has now decreased from 300 km to 200-220 km, i.e. more than 80-90 kms, which is a big figure! On the other hand, my driving behavior has improved from 7 to 8 (so range should increase, right ?). My daily kilometer calculations are being disturbed and now I am charging my car 3 more days in a month (consuming more electricity). This reduced range issue is also with one of my known, who is also using same PUNCH EV car. One thing more, this issue is not with my friend's Nexon EV, as it's range is reduced by 30-40 km only (during peak summers). Sir, I have approached Tata, but their response is not satisfactory. I have also shared my driving behavior figures, range display screenshots with them. What to do, please help!! (Still lot to say....)

Also, all electric cars, currently in India, are only good enough to be driven within 200km range!!! Even Hyundai Ioniq gives a range of only 230km on Highway. Existing electric cars give better range than highways within city due to regeneration tech. As Toyota believes, the best experience is of Hybrids as one doesn't need to be anxious about charging the car every day, every morning, every now and then. Just fuel up the tank and it is good enough for 5k to 6k kms (or more) for hybrids.
I always worry about the warranty coverage conditions. For example: Tata Punch comes with 8 years warranty, what does it cover exactly? What if the range falls down to 50% of what is given now.? Will they replace battery for free or leave us to let scold Tata for the rest of the life. 😢
If the range suddenly falls from what the normal range looks like than TATA will check the battery health, there may be some faulty "cells" inside the battery pack which will get replaced, if it is found beyond repair then you will be liable for a battery replacement
Batteries will be replaced by tata behalf of them unless until you misuse . You can Google and see few Nexon ev owners have got their batteries replaced free of cost due to faulty battery. Recently a nexon user had made 150000km in his Nexon(src-team bhp) he got his batteries replaced after 55k km due to fault , it still has 90% state of health

Creative automatic is close to 11.5 onroad, even punch empowered has more features than creative also this gets an more powerful motor and ziptron electric is lightyears ahead of tata automatic cars even cvt for that matter

As you are the only person in the car we can't call it a "real world" test. The real world mileage of Punch ev with 4 onboard will be around 200Km give or take. That means you are getting half the claimed range! Isn't that cheating?
@@chayakkadakaranm2925 because I actually own Nexon EV 2022. It very hardly impacts the range from how many people are in the car. My EV gives around 230-240kms range with AC with me alone driving . Recently i went to dehradun with 5 people in the car and it gave 215 kms range(mostly highway) with AC. If weight is more so its obvious EV will need more power hence less range but it also increases regen capabilities of vehicle and that's what you need to consider . In your comment You dropped around 80-100 kms range which is around 30% which seems to make no sense
If you gently press accelerator and don't don't above 80 and only stop using regen braking and don't use ac, and do highway steady pace then you will get more than advertisement range
Full charge means 35 unit of electricity, in my city it is around 4.5 rs per unit i.e. rs 157 for full charge, if she goes 300 , it is almost 0.5 rs per km

I see a failure model in terms of range and price. 15 lakhs for 300km and with 4 people on board its not ideal. Tata is making a huge risk of dumping all EV cars in lithium-ion. Tomorrow when there is an alternative or a low cost battery technology, these vehicles are gonna make huge loss for consumers.

If your doing 250 km on a daily, I would advise you to get a car with higher range unless you have an extensive charging network at your destination which will provide availability of working chargers at all times. Also if you get a car with higher range, you can drive TO AND FRO without charging which really clears the annoyance of charging twice each day and thereby depleting the battery health. TAMO must give a variant by combining the lower power motor 80bhp with the higher Battery pack 35kWh to increase the practical range. It will reduce overall cost also. No need of So much power & torque in city conditions. Customers will like that combination much more.
Great suggestion, but as far as i know the weaker motor is of older type found in tiago , tigor etc. it is acually less efficient at same rpms vs newer and more powerful motor found in the puch and nexon. there wont be any benifits if this combo is done. Special thanks for using metric unit for power. We should start ditching the archaic unit HP, especially when it comes to EVs, where every othrr unit is measured in metric.
LR hardly goes 300. Enthusiastic riders expect 150 and 200 in sports and city mode. So the standard version will give only 100 😂😂. Evs are a failure. True world range is around 315 to 333km(MIDC:421km). Depends on city and highway driving.

I am getting 240 km range in my Tiago LR and my top speed is always 70-75 kmph. This is totally depends on your driving style

Also if you get a car with higher range, you can drive TO AND FRO without charging which really clears the annoyance of charging twice each day and thereby depleting the battery health. TAMO must give a variant by combining the lower power motor 80bhp with the higher Battery pack 35kWh to increase the practical range. It will reduce overall cost also. No need of So much power & torque in city conditions. Customers will like that combination much more.
Great suggestion, but as far as i know the weaker motor is of older type found in tiago , tigor etc. it is acually less efficient at same rpms vs newer and more powerful motor found in the puch and nexon. there wont be any benifits if this combo is done. There is only a cost benefit for the customer .

LR hardly goes 300. Enthusiastic riders expect 150 and 200 in sports and city mode. So the standard version will give only 100 😂😂. Evs are a failure. Don't understand how huge firms are investing billions in it. People attracted by cool features over basics are gonna cry later on. Just imagine second hand market of Evs!!
