If this boss were given healing each round, he would be one of the hardest boss in the series, even surpassing '96 Goenitz. This mad lad is at boss syndrome mode.
I feel like '96 Goenitz is more difficult regardless of healing. He doesn't really give you a chance to punish him very often and combos were a lot shorter back in the day, making it harder to take his life away. I remember trying to defeat him at level 8 and after almost 2 hours trying I still couldn't.
I was about to give up, was trying something similar but with Maxima's beam, didn't know about that Terry strat, so I realized that little bit of extra damage might do the trick, also thought Rugal's super had less active frames (reason why I was going for Maxima), the other thing I found is that Clark's armored grabs are amazing against him, so... implementing that strat with Terry, changing Maxima for Rugal and using Clark allowed me to complete the callenge with a completely unharmed Rugal and one extra Super bar in less than 1:30 on the first try, before that?... I did around 35-40 tries, only twice getting close to the 20%
Cleared this in 2 hours. What I did was put Clark first because his command grabs are good for him, when he was out, I put Joe next because the screw uppers helped because the cpu can’t block that, and then Terry and used power geyser to finish him off. Also, this is harder than Omega Rugal.
I wish enter in the game and steal Goenitz's new clothes: his new costume are just wonderful. If someone know how to reproduce his design as cosplay i'll be glad to buy that cosplay. Funny his fighting style remind me Iori with claws in kof 13. Great job
Leopold Goenitz is just *TOO HARD*. I can't beat him as he's strictly a keep-away character. I tried Krohnen's Shut Up command move and I can't beat Goenitz. :(
if ΩRugal and Goenitz are available boss challengers for this moment, will there be upcoming bosses like Orochi, Krizalid, Zero, Igniz, Mukai, Magaki, Dark Ash and Saiki?
They don't gain any life back after winning. So the strategy of sacrificing two characters to get the boss down to half health or less will always be effective.
Without the right tools is hell, tbh, even with these right tools it depends a lot on RNG, also found out that sometimes he'll be red, like using the red costume, which don't know if means anything special or if he's "even harder" but yeah, as a comparison, the Omega Rugal challenge took me 2 tries without even having a strat, while this one took about 50 tries trying to figure out what works, and then 1 with the right tools and being a lot more knowledgeable, however, I wouldn't be surprised if someone got it easily, since... well RNG can sometimes be a blessing and the computer wont use their strongest tools as much, or ever

They need to bring back the proper SNK boss syndrome. This and Omega Rugal is just too easy for today's players.
