I grew up loving Saturday morning cartoons, jumping out of bed, so excited that there was no school. Making a bowl of cereal and putting on that TV and sitting on the floor and eating with my siblings and our basset hound name snoopy. Miss him dearly but also Jason think about when Sunday night comes around and that was Disney night. We had to have all our baths and supper done so we could watch Walt Disney.❤
My brother is a beekeeper in Florida and he uses his honey and bee pollen from his hives to treat his allergies. You already have the bees in the honey I’m assuming you can get the bee pollen to. It’s all about using local honey and bee pollen to combat whatever plants locally are causing your allergy symptoms. Hope you give it a try.
Just so uno that is wonderful idea.. but it wouldn't be good for ppl that are allergic to Bee's 🐝 . As myself .. anything made from Bee 🐝🍯 polin .. makes my throat close 😒😕😏🙄🌻 .. 🤧🤧🤧
I have heard that as well. It works by giving your body a small dose of the item bothering or affecting you like you would getting a flu shot to NOT get the flu. You body with a small dose will build up it's own resistance to the allergy. And as you said.. to be most effective it should be the local honey. Not some random brand off the shelf or it won't work. It has to have the properties of that local allergy.
Saturday morning cartoons were a tradition in our house we are talking about 66 years ago. We had our paper deliver in the morning and on Saturday the paper boy would come in and watch the cartoons every Saturday. Love the way you all keep my memories fresh in my mind ❤️
Loved Saturday mornings growing up! I always loved the Road Runner, Bugs Bunny, (Looney Tunes in general) and there were a few animated ones with sort of puppet like characters...Fireball XL5, Davey & Goliath were also ones I enjoyed. Another fond memory is the one time every year when The Wizard of Oz would be shown. Talk about anticipation! It was a special treat each year. Also, enjoyed Sunday nights...Wonderful World of Disney and the Ed Sullivan Show. Great memories!
I'm not a coffee drinker, but my man said this is one of the best coffee he's tasted in a long time. Also Lester was getting up early to go meet Dutch & Jami says you best save me a cup of that good cog hill coffee..
I don't remember Saturday morning cartoons but (I'm aging myself here) I do remember shows like Captain Kangaroo, Romper Room and Mickey Mouse Club - sheer heaven for a little girl!!!!!
Miss Julie looked in her "Magic Mirror" and saw me! The show was filmed in Canada and we lived in a Detroit suburb. The show audience was mostly made up of kids from Windsor and Detroit area kids. I remember going with my Uncle George, who had a huge crush on Miss Julie. We all got an autographed photo of her and my uncle put his in a frame and hung it on his wall. Too funny.
Listing your favorite cartoons on Saturday mornings Jason really makes me “old”. Mine was Popeyes the sailor man, road runner, three stooges, roadrunner, Mighty Mouse, jetsons, etc
Scooby Doo was my Favorite cartoon and it scared me to death!😂 I Loved the snake video, I know y’all were scared but when MC left you I laughed so hard! I think you did an amazing job that snake was Big!😳
Jason, you should also use saline nasal spray. It will help flush the pollen from your sinus passages. I take several Rx for allergies/asthma, but saline is always helpful when I have a flare up like you're having. @CogHillFamilyFarm
I agree. My ENT specialist has me doing the saline spray 4X's a day. No neti pot (he's strongly suggested). I also take 2Rx nasal sprays, am and pm. I do this religiously and since I can breathe, I'm not tired from not enough oxygen bcs I have chronic inflammation of my sinuses.
❤ Jason I use Flonase also. I saw a doctor say we do it wrong. You’re supposed to blow your nose first. When you use the spray lean forward so it stays in your sinuses longer 👍🏻
I have great memories of Saturday morning cartoons. Saturday was the day that Daddy gave Momma a break. He would get up with us kids and watch Saturday morning cartoons and then fix breakfast for everybody. I was the youngest and he did that even through my high school years.
Jason character would be surrounded by Moody, Peaches, Nugget, maybe The Men in Black and the location would be the new barn and Jason would be all pumped up from running the fence post driver which he would wear slung over his shoulder at the ready. Brooke would be the skeptical sidekick just riding the tractor and disposing of snakes in a specially fitted tractor attachment so she could relocate them.
We didn’t get to watch cartoons as kids. Dad had us up early on Saturday to get caught up on the farm. I finally got to spend the night with a friend in town and we watched cartoons and ate cereal all Saturday morning. What a life he had 😃. Now .. at home… we did get to watch Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom on Sunday evening. That was a great show with lots of critters from Africa. 👍😃
I did many of the same things y’all did ride bikes, I did wheelies all the time, climbing trees, hunting butterflies and mounting them, playing with my Tonka dump truck in the alley, flying a kite all day, adding spools of string. This took me 6 hours to bring it down by 10 pm. We didn’t have woods here.
Brooke, we had a German Shepherd named Bear when I was a kid. He was the best protector to us kids. He never left our sides when we were outside and if one of us started wandering too far from the others he would very gently get ahold of us by the back of our britches and guide us back to where we were aloud to be. He knew the perimeter of our property and was not letting one of us out of it. He was like a LGD but to my brother, sister and me. I wonder if your boys are the same way with you. They are two very loyal pups and they love their momma. I do believe if they sensed a threat to you, Rocky and Bandit would protect you no matter the cost. I believe you have yourself a couple of Momma Guardian Dogs. 🥰
Having a sit down on the porch with Ryan would be awesome. Everyone sipping coffee 👍😃. Makes me wish I drank coffee. Only one in my family that doesn’t 😳.
Jason, outside work with allergies has a simple solution. During the season, Wear a face mask when ever you step outside, period. It works very well, I use to always tell my patients to try it and it always works to block the pollen from making its way in. Also, what helps is to use a saline rinse when ever you wakeup in the morning and after you come inside. You will be amazed, no swollen sinuses, no sinus infections, clear thinking, normal energy, by just blocking the pollen from entering your body. I sweat alot when I work outside, so after my mask gets too wet to function, I switched out with a beard net, or mask. Men wear them when working with food at restaurants. It's alot thinner and a tiny bit of pollen might make it in, but it very airy, and doesn't get sweaty, and it works. Try it Of course you take the mask off when you go inside. One of the affects of the pollen is the inflammation thruout your body, even your brain, that's why you get foggy thinking and feel tired. So knowing that might encourage you to wear a mask when you go outside till you past your plant's pollination period.
Jason and Brooke, the world was safer when you were small children. The first 12 years of my life the world was better. You can’t play, dress or eat like we used to. The good old days are gone forever. All we have now are the precious memories of growing up happy. I feel for my grandkids and great grandkids for not growing up like we did. God bless Jason,Brooks,Mary Carl, and mom.
Honey and lemon is a good natural remedy for respiratory issues and coughs and colds ! Enjoyed the live today with all the memories of childhood and when we were children we had freedom and would ride our bikes play in the woods and fields and were safe ! Unlike today the children are loosing out because of mobile phones and internet And computer games ! We had freedom and fresh air !!
Love the coffee! BROOK please protect your nose from the sun ...here in sullivan indiana we had a retired dentist who wore sunglasses but got skin cancer on nose and top of ears..many agonizing surgeries. .past away a year later..was because of sun..
….I’ve wanted to suggest that so many times ..I’ve had two nose surgeries for basal cell cancer and it changed my looks …I carried the mail for 24+ years and never used sun screen …now I think I’d use a nose shield or a broad brimmed hat .
Petticoat Junction was about 3 young women who lived with their Mom and Uncle and the Shady Rest Hotel and a steam engine train that stopped every day at “The Junction”. I can’t remember if the little town was Hooterville. I watched Johnny Quest, the Three Stooges, and a few others on Saturday mornings. I’m a lot older than y’all but we were always outside on our bikes. I had a basket on my bike and l went to the store for my mom, I rode to the city pool, I was everywhere with all the neighborhood kids. Today, kids are inside playing video games or on a VR headset. It’s so sad! Blessings
Wide world of Sports. I would run home from school to watch "Dark Shadows". Street light kid here also. The Big Blue Marble. Make some simple syrup for your coffee.
Petticoat Junction was a TV show. How you described the theme park sounds somewhat like the TV show. It was about a mom with 3 girls who ran a hotel by a railroad.
Only they didn't have cowboys having shoot outs. I love that the train in the show was from Portland, Oregon. I looked through here hoping someone mentioned the tv show.
I am quite a bit older than you guys, but I loved to get up on Saturday morning, sitting in front of the t.v. waiting for the networks ( there were only NBC, ABC, CBS,back then) to come on, because the networks went off at 10 p.m. and came back on around 7 a.m. My thing was the Saturday morning westerns, I would watch them for hours. I still do it today.😊
We always watched Bugs Bunny, Roadrunner, Peppy Le Pew, Huckleberry Hound, Tweety Bird and Sylvester, a bunch of them. Then later Tarzan came on. Mom would run us out of the house after that.🤣 My husband is 77 and gets up at 6:00 am to watch cartoons on Saturday morning 😂
Ahhh, Saturday morning cartoons and westerns. What a trip down memory lane. Roy Rogers was my favorite. I use to imagine what it would be like to spend summers living with him and Dale on their ranch, hmmmm. Sigh. God bless.
🇨🇦 We have a gentleman in our area that takes birdhouses to our farmer’s market. He uses old license plates to make the birdhouse roof. If it’s a basic square or cube shaped house he bends the plate in the middle and fastens it to the house. He gets very creative with the larger birdhouses. It would look really cool if you had a few birdhouses that have car plates for roofs screwed down on some of your wood fence posts along the road 🐦
We used to get a bowl of cereal 🥣 and watch the Saturday morning cartoons.. then do chores and go outside to play ... Would be gone till the street lights came on . LoL 🤣🤣🤣🤣 now this morning ohmygracias 🙆♀️🤟 💙 I got me a cup of coffee ☕ 😁 was Chanel surfing and found old school Saturday morning toons . .. bug bunny , roadrunner ... It took me back .. loved it ... Y'all have a Blessed weekend sending out prayers for all that need them ...🙏🕯️🕊️ stay safe, stay healthy, stay positive always make it fun Love from Tucson Arizona 💗🦎🌵🌻🦉👩🌾🌵🦎💗 🙏
I visited family in Ft Myers long ago and as a young girl, ( we were 17-18) my niece and I went out to their yard to play and enjoy the beautiful landscape. Our aunt came running out and made us get inside because the ‘ snakes would fall out of trees on us’!! No more Florida. 😅
My favorite was Mighty Mouse. Most of the time we didn’t have a tv and spent our time outside. Or doing crafts. I started crocheting at 8 yrs and never stopped.
Boy I sure understand the allergy crisis , I move out to Pinelevel Al about 5 years ago from Colorado springs Co , and I have struggled ever since , my allergies actually caused pneumonia and required a hospital stay 🙄 , finding what works for is so complicated, I've learned there are precautions I have to do before I go out to do anything outdoors , such as wearing a mask before mowing or anything that stirs up dust and pollen. I have learned that taking 24 hour meds are best taken at bedtime and taking it consistently weather I have any symptoms or not daily , does seem to help , so I sure feel for
I wonder if Jason was trying to remember the awesome cartoon from the 1980s called Thunder Cats with Lion-o, Cheetra and Panthro. My son loved that cartoon. I still remember the theme song. My son also loved He-Man.
Went to a family reunion so just now catching this... 19 hours later. I should be asleep. But a 3 1/2 drive, one way.... I'm wound up. A nearby family had 3 goats wander through the parking area. That was fun.
when i was in the navy, a senior to me used a thumb pump oil can to put "oil" in his coffee. 3 squirts. he said it took the bitterness out of it. years later i ran into him and he confessed . it was rum he squirted into each cup he drank. that would remove the bitterness of a lemon.😊
Wow! I remember Saturday mornings with my sisters watching cartoons. I'm more like Brooke. I have never been one who was into watching cartoons. I have been a crafter, reader, or just up and outside (if it was warm). Spent a lot of my weekends at my grandparents so tv was never a big thing for me. Thanks for another great start to the day.
Even as a child, I never liked the cartoons. Wiley Coyote and Road Runner along with Tom & Jerry, Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny. They were always out to hurt each other.
You are so lucky to have honey bees that are local and pollinate on your land. Local honey is said to be the replacement of allergy shots and allergy medicine. You have to ingest it at least 3 times a day, though, because medication is more potent, but it's not local. I would actually recommend more than 3 times a day, especially since you have a jungle of allergens in your garden and all around.
Have a great weekend and stay cool 😎 I noticed you wear cooling towels. I love those things. I’ve given those to my gardening friends because they do keep you cooler. ☕️🙏❤️
When I grew up in North Georgia, we always found snakes in twos also. In Northern California, where I lived after I married a California boy, we had lots of rattlesnakes. At the schools the teachers did rattlesnake rounds in the mornings. We also have coral snakes in South Carolina.
saturday morning,no tv watching as we ALL had morning chores that lasted 2 hrs of work.if we were sick we spend time in bed.. we got to watch all those cartoons were watched on my friends homes.
Yes I'm with you Jason....I Love ❤❤ Saturday morning cartoons. And then when they were over my mom would send us outside for the rest of the day, so she can clean the house. The Good'Ol Days were the best ❤❤
and shes tellin a story too....hhaaahhhahhaaaaa oh my these words remind me so much of my dad's southern words...words from my childhood. thank you guys for so being your sweet selves!
I am glad you “rehoused” the snake. I like snakes, I learned to like them back in 1965. I was really afraid of them until I finally got to touch/pet one. Brooke you are one brave woman, what you do for your daughter is commendable. THANK YOU!
Wyoming is my home state. Born and raised in Wyoming. I love it. But the snow and the deep freeze’s are too cold for me. Now I live in the beautiful Green Washington State!💚
I loved Saturday morning cartoons. You guys take some tall stools to sit in so you don't have to stand all the time at Peddles from the Past. Yes I saw you get that snake and no you don't get that snake with your bare hands. Love you guys God bless and stay safe
Yes, I loved Saturday morning cartoons, sitting on the floor with a blanket around me eating my breakfast. Bugs, Road Runner, Sylvester and Tweety Bird. I still will watch them if I got a minute. Do you all remember The Jetsons and The Flintstones ?
You two are such a cute couple. I love you both. I'm getting ready to go to town and can't watch you two, until I get back home. Doing a great job on your fence and I will be ordering some of your decaf coffee. Great coffee. I will be sharing decaf coffee with one of my sisters 💕 Have a blessed day 💗
Jason, did you like Scooby Doo ? I'm from the Captain Kangaroo era ! 🧓 How about Popeye and Olive oil ? How about " Beep - Beep " ...Roadrunner and Coyote ? ( 'n' all the warner Bros. Looney Toons ! Yosemite Sam 'n' the Tasmanian Devil ... 👀 My, oh my, you brought back so many excellent memories to me ! THANKS ! Blessings, Grace and Peace to your gang !🙏🙏🙏
After the barn is filled with tags, you can rivet them to the outside! When I worked in our historic town - I found a stack of 1934 new old stock tags and I attached 2 to the boardwalk to cover holes in the wood. I would watch tons of guys try to pick them up and off the boardwalk as they walked by!
I over slept otherwise I would have caught your live. I wish you would include Ryans info on the bag too, maybe on the bottom. I would love to write to him and thank him for being such a coffee master. 💖💖 Wish I could be there in sept.
Omgosh I loved Saturday morning cartoons. My favorites changed throughout the years. Looney toons, Scooby-Doo, Land of the lost with the sleestacks, yogi bear ect.. Then it was MTV on after school from middle school on through high school. Great times.
Oh gosh jason. Saturday mornings was anticipated for sure. Bugs bunny was my favorite. And lunch times during week Flintstones. And only 3 channels on t.v. back in the day 😊
Daddy would buy chowmein on Friday night and we’d save ours for Saturday morning and watch t.v.! Was such a treat!! Not all the time though. Once and a while!❤️❤️
A little snake story for you Jason. I grew up in S. Florida back in the 60's and 70's. There were still wild areas and lots of vegetable farms,..before it got developed. As kids we would play and roam the fields and the irrigation ditches on the farms. Lots of frogs and minnows in the ditches so plenty of snakes too. You walk along till you see one or hear it running off in the leaves and just grab them. All kinds, Garter snakes, water snakes, ribbon snakes, black racers etc. I build about a 6 foot cage on the side of my house... must have had at least 10 or more. Free pets. Best catch was about a 2 foot long yellow rat snake (bright yellow mustard color) which is a constrictor like the boas. He would wrap around my arm and just sit there motionless (like he was in a tree) holding on as I rode my bike around town. He was so motionless a lot of people would not even know he was there... but it would get quite a reaction from some people when they DID notice... and they were NOT fond of snakes. A few screams from time to time 🙂

100 years of Disney 😊😊
Same here, but we're had dance classes Saturday mornings... Missed many cartoons

Not only Saturday morning cartoons, but the funnies in the newspaper!!! Now I watch Cog Hill for my funnies! 🤣

My favorite afternoon cartoon in the early 1960's was "Magilla Gorilla " He lived in a pet shop window and always escaped and had adventures.
Nothing could beat Bugs Bunny and that group of crazy, hilarious, just plain funny characters!!!!

Yes, Saturday morning cartoons was the way to get the weekend started for my kids after a week of school! Then outside and bike riding and playing! 🤗💖
I have learned that taking 24 hour meds are best taken at bedtime and taking it consistently weather I have any symptoms or not daily , does seem to help , so I sure feel for
I raised my water bottle. I don’t drink coffee. That you I love you two so much…
I wonder if Jason was trying to remember the awesome cartoon from the 1980s called Thunder Cats with Lion-o, Cheetra and Panthro.
I am a coffee snob too and this is the only coffee I drink now!
when i was in the navy, a senior to me used a thumb pump oil can to put "oil" in his coffee. 3 squirts. he said it took the bitterness out of it. years later i ran into him and he confessed . it was rum he squirted into each cup he drank. that would remove the bitterness of a lemon.😊
MaryCarl has a lot of pigeons. She is an awesome young lady. ❤️❤️❤️

I am glad you “rehoused” the snake. I like snakes, I learned to like them back in 1965. I was really afraid of them until I finally got to touch/pet one. Brooke you are one brave woman, what you do for your daughter is commendable. THANK YOU!

Thank you for sharing your time! Enjoy your videos. I also love the relationship the 2 of you have. Respectful, caring.
You two are such a cute couple. I love you both. I'm getting ready to go to town and can't watch you two, until I get back home. Doing a great job on your fence and I will be ordering some of your decaf coffee. Great coffee. I will be sharing decaf coffee with one of my sisters 💕 Have a blessed day 💗
My dad loved cartoons and would laugh so hard watching the road runner! I miss my daddy.

Love starting my day with y'all!❤😊
Guess I need to spread the word about Cog Hill here in Kentucky ❤
After the barn is filled with tags, you can rivet them to the outside! When I worked in our historic town - I found a stack of 1934 new old stock tags and I attached 2 to the boardwalk to cover holes in the wood. I would watch tons of guys try to pick them up and off the boardwalk as they walked by!
I over slept otherwise I would have caught your live. I wish you would include Ryans info on the bag too, maybe on the bottom. I would love to write to him and thank him for being such a coffee master. 💖💖 Wish I could be there in sept.
Oh those cartoon years! Favourites were Bugs Bunny, The Flintstone’s, Wally Gator, Yogi Bear, Batman, Spider-Man. 60’s and early 70’s.
And only 3 channels on t.v. back in the day 😊
Yup, loved Saturday cartoons too me and my three brothers 😊😊
Jason you have a good voice, Brook Was being funny! Love y’all!❤️🙏🏻🇺🇸🌷🌺🌻🌸
Daddy would buy chowmein on Friday night and we’d save ours for Saturday morning and watch t.v.!
A few screams from time to time 🙂
I hope you are enjoying a much needed day of rest 😊💕
