I am not a student of engineering . I was searching for residential g+2 base isolation techniques . And stumbled upon your lecture . I am partly impressed by your references to standard codes of construction (manuals) Now I need to know how I can isolate my building from the ground . Modern indian concept of engineering is nothing but a process of training . Civil engineers produced out of this process of training aren't innovative enough to answer questions . Of dynamic nature I am from upper Assam where there is recorded frequency of earthquake around 60 years . Last was during 15th August 1950 measuring 7.8 R scale The scars of that earthquake are still visible . My parents description of that earthquake suggest soil liquifaction and days of earthquake with months long aftershocks . It completely changed the course of Brahmaputra . Now please suggest should I dig up the hard top soil and lay base plates on the soft soil after 1.5 feet depth ? My construction would bear dimensions of 42x20 feet with 10 feet uniform heigth per storey 1 I decided to completely isolate columns from base 2 building will not have any special plinth of bricks floor would rest on tie beam & slab beam . All windows doors would be of low weight steel (less steel bulk) wall of 3 inch of AAC with PPC per 3 feet Slab thickness of nominal 3.5 to 4 inch thickness . The idea is to make the building as a single unit with least or nominal grounding . Idea is to avoid dangerous oscillation and (resonance if accidentally ). Please advise
Sir, Point no 14 - Centre of mass should be low relative to ground - Does a rooftop swimming tank brings the CG higher and hence would make the structure less earthquake resistent?
Sir make video on this topic - Special construction method, tips and precautions to be observed while planning, designing and construction of earthquake resistant building.
As it's mentioned in guidelines that beam and column should have same width.. how do u design a weak beam when it's necessary to have same widths.? What's the procedure of designing a weak beam ?
Because, its also a constructed member which is in direct contact with earth amd subjected to lateral forces which will occured due to earthquack. But it will not damage water tank very seriously if it is rested on ground or under ground. Bt if tank is elavated or overhead than, there may be the chances of severe damage to th tank due to its height and stability. Ok
I'm soo sorry dear, I want to help you, but my brother is hospitalised and I'm not in such a condition that i can rec any video and upload it. I really apologies for inconvinience.
Sir apake video muze bahut helpful hote hai. Thankyou sir
Thank you so much sir. Your lectures r helping me alot

Don't blame engineers..
Please make a complete earthquake design of G+5 building manual design with earthquake loads
Flawless ...
superb explanation sir Thank u
Very nice
@16:49 , for calculating Ta , hieght of bldng kaise consider karenge?
Frome plinth level to top floor ? Or foundation depth bhi include karni hogi ?
Technical CiviL
got it. Thankyou :)
Helpful😁

Sir I want ductile detailing lecture immediately.
Sir,What is offset in beam and column?
Thanks alot dear sir..
informative, But one thing how to check building is safe in earthquke or not after calculating Base Shear and Lateral forces of each floor
Sir I working in solar industry
I used steel str. On rcc rooftop how to calculate foundation size
adds are very irritating...baki bhut mast padhte ho app
Sir earthquake related topic kay upar aur video upload kar eya
Hi,
Please upload a videos of design of G+5 manual design calculations building project with earth quake loads calculations.
Thanks
Sir ductile pe special video banao

TNX A LOT SIR

Nice sir earthquake engineering ka sbhi topics pda dijiye
😇😇😇
Thank you sir
please do videos in english so that it reaches everyone, so that everyone could gain knowledge
Sir i need ductile detailing lecture . Please sir provide very soon 🙏🙏
Sir earthquake me lateral load in building ke example explain kijye na plz kal tak parso mera paper hai
I'm soo sorry dear, I want to help you, but my brother is hospitalised and I'm not in such a condition that i can rec any video and upload it. I really apologies for inconvinience.
Offset kya hota ??
Ook sir
Sir Why not strong column strong beam?
kyuki agar column or beam dono ka strength same ho gya to ho sakta hai wo dono ek sath hi fail ho jae, ye or bhi dangerous failure hai...
I need this ppt slide ...
Sir mera ispr project hai aap description mai pdf ki link dal do na
Is code me Ta=0.09/√d
0.09h aree not available
Sir apka number mil sakta
