I really want Qrow to be Ruby's father and Summer's husband, but I feel like his story has more emotional impact if Summer was 'The one that got away' and Ruby is 'what he could have had'. Either because he was too much of a coward to act on his feelings, felt like his job with the Ozluminati was too dangerous, or Raven pissing off destroyed his chances with Summer cause she wanted to help Tai pick up the pieces. That being said, the whole 'my real parent' drama feels redundant if we put it to both of the STRQ kids. I mean, what purpose does it serve beyond adding drama and identity issues for Ruby when Yang suffers them enough?
Yeah I see where you're coming from, it definitely makes it interesting for Qrow's story if Summer was his first love but she fell for Tai instead etc. It would explain why there might be some bad blood between Qrow and Tai, since Tai seemed quite irritated by him and there was some tension in the Volume 3 finale when he said he needed to talk to Ruby alone. I just think there is more to why ruby and yang look so different than just them being half-sisters. If that was all there was to it, then why doesn't she have Xiaolong as her last name like yang since that is Tai's last name. Plus Bad Luck Charm exists and that song basically confirms that qrow lives his life looking out for those close to him by staying away from them. So if Ruby is his daughter with summer it would make sense for him to let his brother in law raise him as his own in order to protect her and that does explain a lot of the interactions qrow and ruby have in the show. There is always the whole "they look alike" argument, but that could also be chalked up to him being her teacher as yang shares that with tai and whiess with winter. Notice however that all those mentor student pairs are confirmed direct relations except for qrow and ruby. I can see it slipping in a high stress situation that also has ruby in danger of dying. Qrow could accidentally call ruby his daughter in the heat of the moment. It could have actually come out in the fight with tyrian, but when he was refering to ruby, there was no imediate danger and there was a lull in the fight, so he wouldn't have made the mistake then. A STRQ flash back to put this to bed by either confirming or denying it once and for all would be great. I really hope they do that. plus that would help us know more about summer as a character and maybe even the silver eyes. Both of which we know almost nothing about at the moment.
There are so much key evidence why Qrow is Ruby's dad: - He taught Ruby everything to become a Huntress - He told Ruby about the silver eyes instead of Tai - He has the same color code as Ruby and Summer - Tai hates Qrow (maybe bc Qrow and Summer had Ruby)

I believe Qrow and Summer were together and had Ruby maybe even keeping Summer and Qrows relationship a secret so enemies or anyone else wouldn't be able to find them. Remember STRQ was well known back in the day and I'm sure that Summer and Qrow had made many enemies and it could explain why they would keep their relationship a secret so they can protect Ruby and eachother.
who agrees with me dosnt it make your heart feel heavy when you think about it that qrow is your uncle and he has seen and been friends with summer rise but you havnt met her yet...........it majes my heart heavy and feel wierd does this happen to anyone else?
Is it weird that I don't think any of them were married when they had Yang and Ruby? They just ended up having them. Maybe one of the pairings were, but maybe not? I just kind of assumed that Yang and Ruby were "accidents" since there was no mention of any marriages. ^^;
