It's a shame...his voice was so unique that NO ONE can sing these songs!
i was born in 87 also, there isn't any music these days that can compare to stuff like this!!!
this song is a masterpiece, from begining to end, this is what songwriting is about
one of the greatest love songs of all time. it just makes you want to hold a woman
Smokey Robinson and Rick James...Enough said....The music speaks for itself....RIP Rick James(you died to early)....

I love duets so much...This is a great song....They bothcompliment eachother....
Truly a timeless classic. Both men are superb on this song. R.I.P Rick James: You may be gone but your music will last forever.
I think that this is one of the best collaborations that I have ever heard.
Rick James was a motherfuckin "Rock Star" there will never be another one like him. The emotion that this song brings out of me says it all. One of the best that ever did it period.
The video sets the stage for one musical masterpiece. It's unreal how anyone with warm blood running thru their veins can dislike this gem. Rick and Smokey, two musical wizards. Enough said and thanks for posting.
This is one of my favorite songs ever! Rick James has such a beautiful singing voice.
Can you imagine being in the airplane with Rick James and he puts the plane on "auto pilot" and starts smoking a joint and laughing. (lol)
These brothers killed it back in the day!!! All time material here. Classic, never to be forgotten, R.I.P RICK!
A very good song, voices are perfect indeed .
Rick and Smokey blowin their asses off. One of the top 5 greatest slow songs ever. This Rick James and Smokey biiiitch!!!
Those two were a nice duo..surprised that Rick and Smokey didn't make more songs together..cause this song was magic
Two unique vocals, two amazingly talented artists. RIP Rick, we love you.
The emotions in these vocals is unequaled. That is what always made thsi song stand out to me - that and the female snips here and there - and Smokey telling us "Tell Us How You Feel Rick!" Amen!!!
Did 32 folks not like Rick's and Smokey's actin'? God bless! RIP, Rick!
This is the song here RIP Rick james. I play this song all day every day!!!!
I was about 12 when this came out in 84 but never forgot them days.I hate the way music has changed to everything up-beat.

RICK JAMES & SMOKEY !!!!!! Daaaaamn!!!! Thanks for making amazing music.
loved this song the first time i heard it, this whole video is serious, i wish Rick and Smokey did more songz together before Rick passed away
When I first heard Rick James sing "Mary Jane" back in '78 I thought "This guy is a one hit wonder". Then one dayI took a long drive to Santa Maria and listened to the entire cassette "Come Get It". After that, I got it.
RIP Rick James. And Smokey's 80s tunes (starting with Cruisin') are still gorgeous.
The 42 people that "Disliked" this song are most likely people who will grow up thinking that it doesn't get any better than Justin Bieber. Sad.
this is the first time i've seen this video ever after owning this album for 20 plus years!! this song still jammmzz!!!
Cried as I watched this! Such a beautiful video! This is the Rick James I want to remember!
Beautiful song hands down!! LOVE IT!!!
Love the lyrics of this song and I love the gorgeous jheri curls that they both have. A good jheri curl makes the person look wonderful, and they both look better because of those pristine jheri curls. Love it!

Anyone in or around the Buffalo area the Stone City Band will be at Buffalo's Funkfest Aug 23, 2008 along with Slave at the LaSalle Park in Buffalo NY. It's been years since you guys have seen Rick's Stone City Band. Let me tell you I have heard these guys play not long ago and you won't be dissapointed The Stone City Band can still bring the funk just as hard today as they did back in the day...
Man...Rick James is singing his ass off in this song.

There was no one cooler than Rick James. And Smokey is too suave. Cool paired with Suave, it's a winning combination. I remember this song coming out in the early 80's when gheri curls were the rage...lol. Incredible song, makes a man miss his woman.

They should do more duets like these today. Old and new together. I would love to see Michael Jackson & R. Kelly do a duet.
