Oh, my goodness, Chrystal! I watched your video, a couple times then I took the plunge and tried it using powdered milk. It worked fantastic. I used Costco Geek plain yogurt for my culture. THANK YOU SO MUCH 💓

Ok.... we have yet another project to try now! Ya make it all look so easy!! I bought some beautiful zucchinis, yellow squash & baby size cucumbers at an Amish auction today. Made stuffed zucchini boats for supper & wowzers was that good! Gonna try my hand at some quick zucchini pickles later tonight & maybe some bread & butter pickles! Wish me luck! And by the way... Mr Reeve has GREAT taste in yogurt toppings! I swear, I could put your salted caramel Cajeta on a flip flop & feel like it was a birthday treat!! I gotta get some of that made... 😈
I think I need to get the hang of making yogurt like you do first tho. Can you freeze it & have "frozen yogurt" or is there something else you have to do for it to work like store bought?
Great video...more to add to the "to do" list! ❤️🐐❤️🐐

Yay for zucchinis!!! Mr. Reeve was asking me that very same question about frozen yogurt. I don’t see why it won’t work, but you’ll need a way to make it smooth as it freezes. Some people have an ice cream bowl attachment for their kitchen aid mixer that would work great, or an old ice cream maker, or you can just stick it in a bowl in the freezer for a bit the stir it up and put it back a few times. I’m glad you liked it. 😊 Yogurt is so so easy. You should make Cajeta with all your freezer milk!

@@FlatTireFarmHomesteadingAlaska Strange that Mr Reeve asks the SAME BRILLIANT questions as me...loves baby goaties like me... we both REALLY like bib overalls (he just looks better in his) AND... we're BOTH alllll about the "healthy"!! Homemade frozen yogurt... with cajeta... or LEMON CURD!!
STAY ON IT MR REEVE!! Pretty soon - she'll be busier than a 1 armed paper hanger & too busy to check her inventory! You'll be able to SNEAK ALLLLL the goodies out to your truck & sell'em to buy MORE GOATS!!❤️
Shhhhh. Be vewwy quiet. She may be listening! 🤭😄😈
      Nap time.... 💤💤💤

Ms. Chrystal, I love watching you and Mr Reeves, you guys are great. I just started on the 4th of July to pressure can and I'm loving it. Working today on my 3 rounded of food. Living in Florida and hurricane season, I want food that we can heat up out on the grill. I'm still learning with the weight but I'll get it. I'm a family of 1 plus 8 🐈 😻 🐈‍⬛️ 🐱 🐈 😻 🐈‍⬛️ 🐱, don't judge, I'm 1 cat away from the crazy cat lady. I have kids and friends I think of, so I have to make for them. It's just how I was brought up, you feed for everyone. No one goes away hungry. Have a blessed day. 🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩

TY, Miss Chrystal for your encouragement, I will come to you for help, no, I know I'll be coming to you for help, thank you so much. I've canned 40 pints of food so far. Just canning what I know everyone will eat. I'm ready enjoying it, I was afraid at 1st, like alot of us are, but friends go for it. Going to be canning 2 dozen more tomorrow, sweet & sour chicken & pork. Thank you again and have a wonderful day 😊 ☺️ 🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩

@@maryjahnke Watch out, pretty soon you’ll be a jar hoarder like me. I don’t count my jars anymore, because then I’d have to tell Mr. Reeve how many we have. 😬😬 Maybe whenever I get to do a pantry video I’ll count! I’m here for any questions. A bit of advice about starting out canning, if you are processing recipes outside of the “approved” ones, do your research. And see if a few different people are doing something similar, I’ve seen some things I would never can in a certain fashion, because I understand the fundamentals of canning safety. Maybe I should do a fundamentals of going rogue video, whatcha think?

I think that would make a great video and 1st time canner like me, it would help alot. I've been watching alot of different video's on canning and there's still alot I have to learn. I think you would make a great teacher. You would make it fun and funny 😁. 🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩

Wow, I’m new to canning and I found a case (12) of I/2 pint jars at Walmart for $5. I didn’t realize how good of a deal I got. I need to go back and see if they have more. I got a presto 16QT Pressure canner/cooker for $25 too.
