  • The Joy of bringing up a pup, after a few weeks I certainly want them to wind on another couple of months! It is a very important part of their upbringing so letting them be pups is important mind you. Looking forward to the future with this wee geezer. #springerspaniel #puppy #gundogtraining

Colins videos are brilliant. Watched them from the start with the auld fella and genuinely one of the reasons i got my Lab and have subsequently worked her in the beating line and done a little bit of picking up. He does deserve more views and subscribers, hope his subscribers keep going up. Quite therapeutic aswell, his choice of background music is always good. As someone who doesnt really like human beings and would rather spend my time away with my dog, Watching someone spending time with just him and his 4 dogs i enjoy. Also picked up a few training exercises thst Colins done that i then incorporated into training my own dog.

Awww shucks, thanks Boys….can you feel the heat from my red face from there. Truth be told I’d love to make a living from anything to do with dogs. When you see some of the ‘dog trainers’ out there 😱 I wonder if I could make a go of it .

@@northlawgundogs5254 Colin I'd say diffinaitly yes, I know what you mean about other trainers , you have the skills and you only have to look at your dogs to see.

Lovely video. We are with our 10 week old second lab pup right now and I can relate to wanting things to fast forward a couple of months! That said, it is a joy to watch him start to explore. Thankfully, our older lab has no interest in him yet, so I'm not struggling to get the pup's attention as much.

Yes, the attention thing is sometimes an issue, I regularly remove him from the pack to do stuff one on one. Though, it’s certainly been the case with dog 2&3, they learn from each other, particularly stuff like walking as a team ‘to heal’.

@@northlawgundogs5254 Definitely. A friend of mine told me about two dogs they had while he was growing up. The eldest died and they realised the youngest was useless at heel walking solo; it had just been following the other!

Just subscribed after finding you on tiktok. Does the apple cider vinegar work for tick repellent ? I've got a 6 month old working bred Gordon Setter x GWP puppy & recently started gundog training with her. As you can imagine, she's pretty hairy with the feathering and being all black, ticks won't be easy to find on her.
