The best thing about the video is the comfortable way Roumi is acting and moving around people in the souk she is a real Moroccan familiar with her surroundings and the way she is selecting her fruits and vegetables like a good chef that knows how to shop for the best God bless her she is beautiful ❤
After a long time watching your videos, today I've met you in Essaouira! I'm really happy: Rumi is gorgeus. Thank you for showing us life in this beautiful country.
As we get Moroccan (Agadir) mandarins/clementines in Canada, the price was very expensive at the start of the year and the summer when they are in season, but the price has now come down to the normal rate (normal is $3.99 for 5LBS or 2.25 Kg) despite high inflation rates. But on the downside, we used to get them 6-8 months of the year, and now it's only a few weeks.
LOVE how curious and confident Rumi is, the best way to learn. Thank you SO much for taking us to the souk today. Even if the prices have gone up a little, it is nothing compared to northern Europe now. And everything is SO fresh, colourful and lovely - as always
Big difference between 2020 and 2022 2020 was a rainy year as a consequence vegetables fruits and meat were available with a good prices. 2021 and 2022 Morocco knows a great drought Which caused a high rising of cost of food.
Cuidaros mucho.
Nice video Kevin like the old days ! Please watch out for Rumi at the market when it’s too crowdy, little kids can easy walk away while you are busy ❤️
Good to see you out and about...... we are coming back to Agadir in late January 23...... Fancy a meet up in the meantime we will watch you in the warm while it's rains in Devon in England......

Indeed the cost has increased, transport energy (fuel) is the culprit, it is like a domino effect, most of our daily needs costs are proportional to the transportation fuel cost. The increase is a normal thing, it is happening in most countries including beautiful Slovenia, and the "Good USA" !
zucchini flowers? If that's what they were, they put those on pizza in Italy. Thanks for another souk vid. Very good to have all the prices in one place. My camper is sinking into the mud in Hungary, but I think I will get it all sorted out in a week or two and then be on the way.
Hello 👋 I was in Morocco 🇲🇦 few weeks ago, yes the prices high sky. But still almost everything available, I am talking about food. Take care and have a lovely time in Morocco 🇲🇦
Spent some times in Aourir and thereabouts during the 1980s. Looks much more built up. We called it the "banana village"... Are there still banana plantations, I hope? Probably the little building I rented is long gone!
Almost the same price as in Casablanca. There is no big difference. The rise in vegetable and fruit prices in Morocco is due to the drought. Two years of rare precipitation. Thank God Morocco is doing well.الله ارحنا

Plenty of bananas there still, though i am sure you would not recognize the rest. I bet that building is still there.
Very good video, it show that the real inflation rate is waaay bigger than the official 8% annonced by the central bank.
