Having served yourself This is one I thought you would like . Cause you know how it feels to be Homesick and missing your family when deployed. The first time I saw this video, I cried.

I will never forget Deployment homecoming. New fathers were allowed off the plane first so my husband was 2nd off the plane and I'll never forget seeing him walk off and scan the crowd looking for us and seeing him meet our son who was a few months old for the first time. ❤

The song was written by Kane and his band when they were doing a tour and missed their loved ones.

I have fond memories of my father surprising me by coming to my school. He was in the Navy and fought in WWII on the USS WASP and was in the Crows nest when the carrier was torpedoed and sank in the Pacific. He also fought in the Korean War. ❤😊I missed him terribly when he was deployed. ❤😢

The song is for his wife as is the other version of the video (yes there are 2 videos for this song). This video is dedicated to the military because they share the same sentiment of being homesick.

Sometimes families don't tell the kids or they arrive home earlier than expected. But great song, interesting reaction lol. And definitely a interestingly intriguing story lol

The videos of people seeing their loved ones finally home always have me crying. I think one of the sweetest was a young man who showed up at his mother's wedding. She was at the end of aisle with one son, ready to walk her down the aisle and then someone comes up on her other side and she sees her other son and she burst into tears.
Keith, I am 1000% percent sure you weren't the only person to be writing home to more than one person but damn, good job at saving yourself from what could have been an awkward situation.
Reminds me of the story that came out a few years back (I say a few, it was maybe ten years or more) where a group of miners got caught when the opening to the cave collapsed. Luckily, they all survived but it took them a few days to be rescued. Unfortunately, during that time, as family and friends gathered to wait, one guy's wife started talking to another woman who turned out to be her husband's girlfriend, who hadn't known he was married. Never did hear a follow up on that.
I recently heard (for the first time in years) a country singer named Jack Ingram's cover of the song "Lips Of An Angel" which was first released by the group rock group Hinder. It's actually a pretty damn good cover, so I thought I would toss that one out of the suggestions list.
I thought you guys had reacted to Billy Currington's "People Are Crazy" but when I did the search it didn't pull up, so if you haven't reacted to that one, it is a really cool song.
Also, to represent the ladies, Michelle Wright's "Take It Like A Man".

People Are Crazy is an awesome choice, probably my favorite story song of the past 15 years or so. Take it Like a Man is good too.

There are hundreds of video on videos on RUclips showing the shock and surprise on a child's face and daddy your brother or sister comes home Kane Brown he's young and he's got a ways to go but he has been honored by honoring Randy Travis over the past few years there is a version I've Three wooden crosses . There is a video out there where Cain was singing it live at a radio station and Randy Travis was close enough to sneak into the station and just shocked the heck out of him. It's worth the watch.

In response to Dustin's wondering about people being shocked seeing loved ones come home... I wonder in the cases with kids, maybe the other parent or guardian knows but doesn't tell the kid in order to really surprise them.

I have always thought that even if you know your loved one was coming home but not exactly when, that you would still be shocked when you actually see them. Like you don't really believe that they will come walking in but they do.

    G'day boys,
Keith, yes love, you are a terrible human being, but we still love ya💓 and we wouldn't want you any other way...😉😆
I saw Kane Brown live last September ('22) at our big weekend long country music festival (CMC ROCKS) up in Queensland, and he was every bit as good as any of his recordings,,, probably better because of atmosphere, grog and everything else goin' on that weekend...he even did a shoey at the end of his set...😁
There's a video on RUclips of Kane at a radio station doing a live on air performance of Randy Travis's "Three Wooden Crosses", the station arranged for Randy to be snuck in to listen to Kane sing his song,,, Randy was in tears, having suffered a really bad stroke that has left him barely able to speak and severely debilitated, it was very moving, for anyone who has even a modicum of feelings...🥺

Oh my gosh, Kieth's story is hilarious. My old reverend was a Navy chaplain during Vietnam, a fella came to him to get help to get transferred, because he had gotten a lady AND her mom pregnant and they were after him...there were more great stories but that really stood out when I heard Kieth's story.

The song itself is about his wife & their life &his touring. However, the feelings of being homesick by the military folks, match his feelings. And my brothers used to surprise us when he came home. The servicemen usually let's one person know & then that person helps choreograph the surprise for others. Remember, someone knew, because they are filming it. Kane has some great music. I love 'Heaven' & 'What if' & he now has a duet with his wife all over country radio right now, called 'Thank God', Cute song.

Personally, I'm not a fan of Kane Brown. Kane Brown and Sam Hunt are both too poppy and sometimes, even hip-hoppy sounding for me. I don't even consider the two country music singers. KB is a great singer. But, notice how the song had essentially, little to no country music instruments (banjo, fiddle, etc.), there was no story and it sounded very uppy and produced. And most of his music seems to follow that.
