Thanks! There are two sides to the new karts. One being that they have a ballast system so the races have a set weight everyone runs at, and no finishing position is changed. Unfortunately while the karts are new to COTA, they were used elsewhere and due to various issues, they run quite different from kart to kart (some being close to 2 seconds faster than others) which takes away at some of the fun and/or possibility of competitive racing in the league. That's my opinion based on my experience so far.
@@EthanPalosh So COTA advertised second hand karts as new.That 2 second gap difference is similar to my league racing experiences. It has affected some races on track. My events do not use ballast for their karts; they divide by driver weight (40-70 lbs per class).
Nice driving to a podium finish. Not much you can do with a kart not turning one direction out there. How do you like those new RT8 karts?
