42:30, the reason Alex is my fav guitarist, fav solo.... just keeps going, and going..... From the first time I heard him in 88, he blew me away and wanted to emulate him.
Wow, Alex Skolnick is the best guitarist in the entire universe. This sounds amazing on a good pair of headphones, I can't imagine how awesome it would sound actually being there, hearing it live. Epic!!!
I can't find another metal singer keeping huge quality and power through so many years as Chuck Billy does. The band is always powerful and tecnichally perfect. It's a shame to see TESTAMENT in an afternoon show.
Damn, what a performance- really shows their experience and expertise as metal musicians, or even just musicians - excellent band. Should've been "The Big Five"!
I look out at this crowd at my metal brothers who grew up on Destruction, Kreator, and so on...and know that WE are the strongest audience of ANY form of music!!!
I'm 34 years old and I'm sorry, the 80s bands were just...better than today's bands. Such a better grasp of songwriting, melody, dynamics, and overall musicianship. Don't get me wrong there's some incredibly talented metal bands that have come since then, but the best metal came from the 80s, hands down!! Social media addiction has destroyed most people's brains, so they can't focus enough to compose music like this...
Didn't say there wasn't talent. Though I will say Trivium and Unearth got NOTHING on Testament IMO. Their songs are chaos. Arrangements all over the place. Very little structure. The guys can play but they struggle with the writing aspect. I actually saw Unearth open for Testament like back in '08. Unearth was good, but kinda started to sound repetitive and the lack of song structure was really starting to grate. Then Testament came on and blew them completely off the stage. Unearth's guitar players were good, but Alex Skolnick was just in a different league. Not even close...
One thing I will give you is that the drum/bass playing improved generally from the 80s. See your examples. Lou Clemente was fast but he just wasn't all that creative behind the kit. Once Testament got John Tempesta and then Lombardo and now Hoglan it was all over though!
Pow mano Voltei aqui pra dizer que ele largou esse costume Agora ele canta com o microfone normal como outro frontman qualquer Q pena Era a marca registrada dele
I've followed this particular artist since they formed in '95. You people have to understand, Steve Schrippa had just been kicked out of Metallica when he decided to launch Testament. If you weren't part of the midwest party scene, you missed it. Some of the best power metal comes from the midwest. Testament, Metallica, megadeth, slayer, exodus, warbringer, gorguts.
Too bad Greg got treated like s*** from Chuck and Eric and left. He was part of the original line up when Chuck wasn't. Should have stayed, but whatever, Steve DiGiorgio is a pretty cool replacement.
Wow Eric Peterson kicked ass on a few solos....See that's how good Testament is, their rhythm guitarist is a better lead player than alot of other bands lead guitarist....lol...they are the SHIT
Thrash is not even my fav sub genre, but Testament gave fucking everything on this show... *True American Hate* is one of the most brutal pieces ever recorded, and the crowd was just lame.
simply, there are moments when the bass is good but sometimes the bass volume went to 0, listen to the intro of Practice What You Preach, there is no bass, but throughout the song the bass is hearble
Always loved a good Testament pit! If i came out uninjured, it was a waste of time. Lets just say Testament always delivered the goods! Blood, bruises, fucked up joints. Nothing like it ❤
I read Billy's Wiki, to find out what tribe he is from. I saw he gives shout outs, to his native brothers. I think I saw the 3 times,he spotted me each time and gave me some goats. Cool ass dude. I hated Skolnick getting back together with them. Bouncier tunes without him. I can get why the crowd wasn't feeling this show.
Chuck Billy ......what an underrated guitarrist!!!!
lol nice
He was the vocalist

I wish I could too. I do think of solos on his approach on Testament
oh my god, CHUCK BILLY'S voices sounds great and powerfull in this one
Chuck Billy. Best vocalist and air guitarist in Thrash Metal
Chuck Billys Air Guitar skills are amazing
i love the bass sound of greg, i like steve d too, but this man is underrated.
Wow, Alex Skolnick is the best guitarist in the entire universe. This sounds amazing on a good pair of headphones, I can't imagine how awesome it would sound actually being there, hearing it live. Epic!!!

I saw him live last year and it did indeed sound awesome
I can't find another metal singer keeping huge quality and power through so many years as Chuck Billy does. The band is always powerful and tecnichally perfect. It's a shame to see TESTAMENT in an afternoon show.

Damn, what a performance- really shows their experience and expertise as metal musicians, or even just musicians - excellent band. Should've been "The Big Five"!
I love Greg Christian bass sound!
Greg Satanist also kills it!

Best metal drummer by far!
Amazing.... btw billy skolnik peterson... nuff said ;-)
skolnick learned some stuff from Jon Oliva so yeah he's sick
Eric Peterson is definitely an underrated guitarist
@@Blashyrkh89 absolutely! he is Testament together with chuck...
What I understood from this live is that chuck wanted to be a guitarist and Gene a T1000. Alex wanted to be probably Stephen Hawking
Hey, Chuck Billy , hands down is the best ! He still sounds like he did off practice what you preach
