About 10 years ago my dad's 1st cousin put an electric fence around his garden to keep the deer out. He literally had it wired straight to a 120v outlet. His brother had told him several times he was gonna get somebody killed but he didnt listen. Late one night his son was trying to sneak back on the property. He was battling a drug addiction and he was staying with his parents trying to stay clean. His dad put strict rules on him living there like you better be home before dark. Well early one morning they noticed his son never came home. He left walking early the evening before. The dad went out to the garden to pick some tomatoes for breakfast and found his son tangled up in the electric fence. I was a firefighter in my area and was also a medic an ambulance company in central AL so we got called out to the scene. The son was obviously deceased when i got on scene. That rigged up electric fence had been doing what electricity does all night long. He was black it burned him so bad. Of course he was my cousin so i knew him very well and had just talked to him the evening before at the local convenience store. Sorry if this is too morbid or whatever. Sometimes I forget not everybody isnt used to things like this.

That is a wild story! Thank you for sharing with us. Maybe this will educate others on the dangers of straight wiring your electric fence
Stay away from the electric fence that the chicken got into🪦😅
