Zombies are my favorite settings. It adds "risk" to your game. But to 5 other people as well. I do not study pathing nor do I care to. But I reached Master and top 150 on saber with zombie settings. Stopped playing but with what you know of rolls they'll take vs. your troop counts you masterfully know how to divert them already!
I'm pretty sure if all the players focus the zombies, you can keep numbers low enough that you can (though they will take respawn in a random territory if you remove them from the game) and only disappear with totally victory I haven't played this version of Risk in many years, I may be misremembering, and I'm a random guy on the internet. Things I say aren't guaranteed to be accurate
more often than not the latter. if players kill all the zombies, they will respawn by infecting a random player’s territory (turn all human troops into zombie troops) within a few turns. however, if the zombies are killed last (after all other human players are eliminated), the game will end in a win for the last surviving player.
Every handful of turns, the zombies will rebalance themselves. If they were killed off or control very few territories, they'll infect a random player's stack (often the biggest, but that's not guaranteed). If they have few troops relative to the total of all players combined but lots of territory, they'll "explode" on a turn and 2x or even 3x their usual reinforcement count. As such, it can be very difficult to kill all the zombies and then give another human player 2nd. One good thing to note: if a player suffered an "infection" at some point in the game, that same player cannot not suffer another infection no matter how strong they are until all other remaining players have likewise suffered an infection first. However, you're unlikely to see many infections unless the other players are making it a point to constantly kill off the zombies and hold a bunch of bonuses.

Is it possible to eliminate all the zombies or does a zombie game always just come down to last man standing against the horde?
