I think this is one of the most disturbing cases I have ever heard . Rightly said Priti and Saurab we must educate our sons and society on the importance of respecting all women. You are right but educating next generation is long-term process and we need instant solutions and for that we need to improve our policing for working areas. Police help desks should be mandatory in public buildings like universities, hospitals etc. Because young girls and women in India mostly avoid visiting police stations for reporting at the initial stage of crime. Legal assistant and security should be easily accessible to the citizens and secondly if there will be police help desks at these workplaces, then criminals will fear to commit crimes at those places.
We need to demand better Policing.

If rape was done by doctors than what do you say about that. They are educated people. I am sorry, there should also be stricter laws and punishments. Apart from all this the main education starts from Parents. As you rightly said before love kids should be taught how to respect each other, especially boys. I am also raising 2 boys and I talked to them about this rape case in India and they saw how disturbing it was and how disturbed I was with it. I'm glad that you guys addressed this big painful incident and I would like to add that sex education is important but the school authority has limited hold on our children and they are not responsible for the child's upbringing, it is the parent's responsibility to first set a good example for their own children and teach them from a very young age about love and respect only then things can change gradually. Every parent needs to step up so that this kind of incident can bring a change. Educated people also behave like animals, drunk driving and other incidents are all done by educated people but it reflects in their upbringing. Making money for your children's future is important but it will lead him/her nowhere in life if he doesn't value people and their life. Fathers have failed miserably in being good examples! Children learn from home more than the outside world till a certain age so make sure to help them grow into men a mother would be proud of.
