What can you expect if you think you have Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)?

Deep vein thrombosis, or DVT, occurs when a blood clot forms inside a deep vein, usually in a leg. The condition can cause severe illness and death if left untreated, so it is vital that you seek help if you experience symptoms. The Oxford Haemophilia and Thrombosis Centre helps diagnose patients with suspected DVT and directs them to appropriate treatment.
